1st issue after 3 days!

Well I'm trying to make my own dialer for this rom. Have done so successfully for All BB versions and UD. Extracted Contacts.apk from phone, modified .png files, rezipped, put .apk back on sd card. Normally I would push it back to phone using Terminal Emulator.

sysrw
cp /sdcard/contacts.apk /system/app
reboot

However since switching to this rom i get
sysrw: permission denied
after i type the "sysrw" line.

I have tried everything i can think of to accomplish said task, but am stuck!
Any ideas?

nexus wallpaper - patriots

I'm still loving this ROM!

The Nexus wallpaper that loaded with the ROM has a Patriots wallpaper. I'm wondering if there is a way to add other wallpapers to the nexus live wallpaper background list?

I've also got Nexusmod 2.0, but I've come up short searching for a way to change them myself. I'd really like to add the included launcher wallpaper "red, blue, yellow and green "X"" to the nex2.0 background so I can run the "nexus" preset color scheme.

I sent my donation along so you guys can keep up the awesome work! Thanks again for the kick A$$ ROM!

What I'd really like to do is add the X Screen wallpaper included with this ROM and an option for Background in the Nexus Mod wallpaper.

I hope the attached screen shots explain....Just let me know!

I just loaded this ROM a few days ago, and I had my google maps. Either way though, Google Maps is free and can be redownloaded from the Market.

sorry, i should have mentioned that. i downloaded it and when trying to install it came up with error message "installation error....Incompatible update"
any other ideas?

alright, deleted com.android.apps.map and then installed it and its good now.

sorry for the questions guys, all I've used before is smoked glass v5.0 and v6.0 so I'm new to Woody's ROMs.

one more question though....will deleting old ROMS from my root speed it up any? I'm getting a lot of lagging. Thanks again everyone!

deleting them from your sdcard wont speed the phone up. did you wipe data/cache when you switched over? and im sure youre using a task killer lol. if not... :icon_evil::icon_evil::icon_evil:

Didn't wipe data and cache because I didn't want to lose all my apps/notes for work/SMS for work/etc. I've got titanium backup now, so it's a moot point, but when i did this i didn't. Is it possible to JUST wipe cache?

+1 Tasks Killers will also kill your notifications and make you go insane. Ok maybe not insane but they will kill notifications.

i wiped both 2 weeks ago when going to Smoked Glass v6.0 since it's a 2.1 ROM.


I've jsut heard 50/50 about whether task killer's are worth anything or not, and i have personally seen my droid be faster when killing apps, so i kept it. how do yall recommend i keep programs from running too much in the background, killing speed and battery? I'm guessing "Running Services."

What do you mean by kill notifications? I've been getting notifications just fine, i think.
