[Release][Theme] Golden Elegance for multiple ROMs.....

I've been a G1 user for over a year now and just switched over to the Droid w/ Verizon. I've rooted and installed Sapphire and now this wonderful theme. Thanks for that. I have one question though...How are you guys changing the color of the text for the time and such in the upper bar...it's the only thing I've not been able to figure out so far.

Follow-up, because I just realized I didn't really answer your core question: the date and time, in the upper bar, are also configurable on the UD rom, as well as (if I remember correctly) the Simply Stunning rom. It's a "rom" feature rather than a "theme" feature.

Actually, Sapphire allows the changes as well and is extremely customizable. There is a color wheel or you can directly input the color code. Go to Settings, the look for GEM settings....there you have several options to change colors for. The Time is at the top. Hope this helps, I just figured it out myself.

Oh, I didn't mean to imply that UD & SS were the only two roms that allowed you to change those colors. They were the only two that I was familiar with. I never messed around with Sapphire, but I understand it's pretty good - and pretty popular. :)

I wasn't expecting 6.0 quite this soon, so it took me by surprise. I'm downloading the 6.0 rom right now, and as soon as it's installed, I'm going to install your theme and test it out. Quick work on your part Kook - you jumped right ON that puppy as soon as it was released. :):)

Installed UD eXtreme 6.0.0 as well as Kook's lightning fast theme update this morning. The new theme works perfect, as you might expect. I do these installations - UD rom over existing rom and theme over theme - with no wiping. There are mixed reviews as to whether or not that's a good idea, but it works for me and considerably speeds up the process. If you do it and experience problems, assuming you've done a backup, it's easy to put things back the way they were with a recovery; then proceed to wipe and reinstall the rom or the theme.

What app or widget is that that is showing the time in the screenshots. I'm thinking it is Deskclock, but Desktop isn;t showing up on my app or widget lists? Is there anyway you can put the icons in a package? I'm trying to customize the Dock and such, but I can;t seem to pull up the icons that are within your theme....

Are you talking about the gold colored time display at the top - showing time in a 24 hr format? That's a Beautiful Widget themed display. I can't recall the name of the theme, but I have it installed on my phone and can get it for you if you need it. To get it, you have to buy and install Beautiful Widgets from the Market, then download the skin.

The second time display, in the kind of burgundy color is the "Analog Clock" widget. You call it up in the normal way: pick an empty spot on the desk top, push and hold until the menu pops up, choose Analog Clock, and you're done. The clock will be themed to the colors that the developer used - most of the time. Not all developers theme the analog clock, but I know that Kook always does.

HTH,

It's called vsg_Gold from Beautiful Widgets

Ok, lat question..I think. I want to change the Dock icons. I used LauncherPro and it lets me change em, but they revert back whenever I rotate the screen. I have Shortercut, but I can;t seem to find a way to use it for changing the Dock Icons. I see you mentioned you used Bettercut for Icon switching...does it work for the Dock icons as well? Given what I have right now, is there a way to put your Theme Icons on the dock or do I need to have another app?

My browser FC's..UD 6...its weird. Wise the same thing happened when I tried this theme on UD 5.01...I do a wipe everytime I load a new rom. Don't know what the problem is.

Very nice....thanks for the heads up bud.....
