Can't seem to get the themed market to work.
I have 2 methods that worked for me to get the new market.

1. Updated market to 2.2.7 on UD 2.5. Downloaded Rainbows and pulled the vending.apk file and then installed the theme and the market worked with no issues

2. Downloaded the Rainbows themed UD 2.5 Rom replaced vending.apk with this copy http://www.droidforums.net/forum/at...ng-re-revisited-vending-apk-2.2.7_vending.zip. Jut had to extract it and rename to Vending.apk
I havent had any issues since.

no matter what I try the new market just force closes.. wiped and reinstalled the ROM complete 3 times.. tried the UD2.5.0ROM that Lady Angler posted for cakes and i get the same thing. it actually updates my apps first, then just force closing. I can't uninstall it either, it just keeps failing. also, if i try and rename it to .apk.bak and install another version of the market that fails install. not sure what to do. ;[

also, normally i'll use CW to flash the rainbows theme on my wife's phone while updating it to whatever the newest version of UD is that week. This time, after applying the orginal Rockin Rainbows.zip that's located in the OP it locks up right after the M logo and sits on a blank screen but you can tell the back light is on. weird stuff this time around that I never run into with previous versions. its def the OP .zip causing the problem because one of the times I tried letting UD 2.5 install and update all the way then go back to CW and apply the theme.. back to locked up after the M logo goes away and the backlight just stayed on..

I know Cake's will be very sorry that this is happening.

Can you flash a backup to when your market was working? Once market is working. Then try installing the Rom version again. Not the theme version.

I am going to put this back on my phone to and make sure all is working. But I did test the rom version yesterday for approx. an hour and a half. Especially the market. Downloaded an app. Installed some updates. All was working fine. Really it was! I got a force close on gmail. So I updated her version on that then that was fine.

i actually ended up pulling the old vending.apk from one of her previous RR.zip's and replaced the new one and reloaded the ROM all over again. so for now, my wife is up and running again but just using the old market. i tried to update to the new market and the install fails. she loves this theme so I don't mind spending the extra time to get it all to work correctly for her.

I am up and running. No problems here.

For some reason I think even a wipe won't fix these inverted themed markets once they are broke. You may need to install the new 2.2.7 stock market first. Not sure. But you can try installing the Rainbows rom version where you are now. Not the theme version but the rom version. Because that will hopefully give you enough space in the system. Make sure you wipe though. The data restore will help from losing all ur settings, messages, and what not.

If that doesn't work. Try installing the vending.apk from UD 2.5.0. and then the rainbows themed rom. Just follow those instructions I posted.

Make sure you backup where you are now though first with a working market.

This isnt a themed market, but it is a workaround until the problem can be found

Rainbows on DInc?

What would it take to get this over to the DInc? Finally got my wife to let me root her and put on UD... but there is a real lack of themes for her device. Anyone willing to take this on? (with permission of course.) I would be more than willing to donate someone for their time and effort.

I offered her my OG Droid but she likes her Inc to much.
