Report: Samsung Galaxy S II Not Making Its Way to Verizon

My contract with Verizon expires in December. Whatever's the best phone to come out between now and then is what I'm going to get.

Mine just expired...was going to wait on the GSII, but didn't..good thing. Got the Charge instead. So far so good.

I'm wondering how you turned a thread that was attempting to figure out why Verizon would skip over the GSII, into telling me what phone I'm going to buy.

I didn't say I wanted the Prime, or the HD.

Less !!!, more news telling.

Just wait until March 2012 when Verizon will be telling us that the Prime still isn't coming because we have The Thunderbolt - it's basically the same thing, right? Morons. Time to start shopping.

You are right about that!! I apologize!!!

This is very upsetting. I was really looking forward to finally upgrading my d1. Now I gotta wait even longer.

My OG works perfect, honestly have no reason to upgrade other than my constant need to stay up to date with my tech.

I don't dislike my d1. I just want more... Bigger screen. LTE. Dual core.

They have redesigned the SGSII for 2 other carriers, why would they have a problem changing it for Verizon?
I understand this, but that really wasn't my point. My point was that they would have to redesign it DRAMATICALLY for the LTE chip, making it maybe no longer the thin phone that they gear the Galaxy's toward. Redesigning it for the other carriers isn't a complete over haul, thus making it worth it to just tinker with a few things.

I think you D1 folks would love the Bionic. I jumped to a used DX in Januay and I was blown away at how much faster it is. Go for it guys!

My thoughts exactly.

I love my D1, but I've had it since a little after launch. I've used it to turn most of my co-workers on to Android, & now they all have newer phones than me, minus one that is also kicking it old school with the D1.

I don't think you understand, maybe you haven't looked at the Bionic FCC documents which show the small size of the 2nd generation 4G LTE chip. Both revisions of the SGSII have been dramatically altered, in size, function, even differing processors. This argument just does not hold water.
