Report your ICS on Razr experience here.

Just found two more things I don't like. It appears that you can't filter contacts by only those with mobile numbers, so basically, since ICS now, my contacts list (people app) shows a whole bunch of trash contacts I know for sure I don't need, and this sucks.

Additionally, there's no "slide" prior to authenticating (via face unlock, pattern, pin, etc.). Instead, you have the option to use "slide" which gives no authentication, or one of the other methods. Ultimately, you can't just look at your phone for the time without it trying to recognize your face or prompt you for authentication. You either have to disable lock screen security altogether, or it's going to prompt you when unlock your phone.

On .79 ICS leak, it allowed you to open and look at the clock, and either slide up, down, left, or right before doing anything further.

I think the fonts are crisper. The new webtop is great. Looks like my wife wants a smartphone now so she can get dock and drawer the xoom. The new vehicle dock home screen is great to. I dont like how it starts vz navigator once docked.

EDIT:1 Battery-I use my phone, ALOT, like 6000 mins talk/month. So far, being my first working day since getting ICS, I must say it appears that battery has improved for me. That is while using tons of voice and when I am not talking and in my office I stream TWC TV over wifi.... Really liking ICS so far.

It did seem to help but it was hard to gauge mid-discharge. I have a full battery now so we will see. I did notice that it was still charging while in use on the charger, that's a good sign. Someone posted that this was an issue with the DROID 2 global.

Any Updates on the battery issue?

Installed the OTA ICS. 211 and I'm having some problems. Both the search and home keys are not responding. Also, the lock screen is not appearing despite being in the settings. Lost my contacts using rda990's method, but that's my fault for not backing them up. Anyway, ICS isn't my cup of tea so far, but that might be to a bad start off the bat.

Ok let start off by saying i am exited about ics. Its got some great features.
But man did it make my phone slow!! It destroyed my 3g signal. I was do happy when i got my Maxx, coming from a DX. The X was old & buggy and slowing down. near the end of its life it had half signal & really slowed down in speed.
When i got the Maxx my signal was sooo much better. Didn't have any buffering issues with music or video streaming. Always had full bars.
Now with ics my signal is bouncing between 1 and 2 bars. And its not just that they changed how the bars look or report signal like some ppl are claiming. Now i can't even watch a low quality video on YouTube without waiting for it to buffer for a long time! Even loading this page was painfully slow!
And I'm pretty sure my battery is draining faster now too. Been on battery for 1hr 37min and its down to 80%
I kinda think ICS is going to make me hate phone unless they fix those fast. I was in love with my maxx because it was fast and lasted all day.
Anybody else having these issues?

My preferred network came as "global" by default and still remained on 4G. I just changed it to LTE/CDMA. Let's see if that helps.

Someone posted a link in another thread with how you can change it to 3G. I did it last night and it worked like a charm. I think the app name is LTE On/Off for HTC Thunderbolt. It takes you into the Phone Info screen, scroll down to right above where it says 'Turn Off Radio' and there will be a drop-down list. Select CDMA Only from the list, and you're all set :)

If it doesn't meet your needs for speed then just root it and find a developers ROM that will satisfy that need. Your phone has the capability do just as fast or faster even.

I'm still having serious battery issues even after switching from global and about 4 charge cycles. Stopping by Verizon today.

Im sorry to say, but its probably user error. On ICS you must hold home and search for 3 secs I think for them to respond. This is to prevent accidental presses.

I guess I should clarify. My phone's u/i isn't slow, its actual 3 g download speed thats slow and the signal is weak. thanks for the suggestion on ROMs but i have no desire to mess with that. I like tinkering with my phone but at the same time i just want it to work and not be constantly updating all the time. And in my experience with custom ROMs they never really improve something without breaking something else.

I think what I'm experiencing might just be a bug in the ota update i side loaded. but I just read an article on pc mag implying that the mass ota update hasn't officially begun yet. Maybe it's a bug know about & will be fixing when they actually do the ota.

Likes - unlock screen is nice.
swipe to close app thing is nice. have that on tablet and works well
will be trying global mode in a few months so hopes for that
seems little bit smoother
Screenshot ablility
better tab view to see multiple windows in browser

cons - Yahoo email still doesnt push
When i hit the volume down on the side, it only volumes down the ringer and not the notifications

sure there are some more likes/dislikes but these are main ones.

obtained ICS through .zip ota. failed at first, did droidulitiy and redid .zip and worked.

it took a little getting used to at first, mine came down exactly at 9:00 PM on Friday 22nd, It actually shocked me haha..!! but so far so good and improved the phone a lot still playing with it but its is awesome...

Have been running .211 since the morning it came out as a leak. Went to it directly from GB with .181 image flash. Had a few sideload issues, but data wipes and brute force resulted in a clean install. It runs beautifully. Not a single issue. My battery life on ICS/4G is higher than it was on GB with 3G. I actually tried running ICS on 3G only for a while as it was my exclusive for gingerbread and I took a hit on the battery life vs 4G. Weird, but I'll take it. So now, rocking 4G all day and not looking back.
