Report your ICS on Razr experience here.

This was in the ICS .79 leak, but I am unable to find where to enable this. I've asked on another forum and apparently others are having a difficult time as well. There's a "screen lock" security feature in the settings and its options are: None, Slide, Facial Unlock, Pattern, Password, and Pin. I haven't seen the text, camera, phone, and unlock slider since .79 leak.

Bizarre! Hopefully they didn't disable this option for some reason? What happens when you choose slide?

Yeah, this pissed me off because I liked looking at the clock without having to authenticate. When I choose slide, then there's the 4 icons, but you can't have authentication with this like you used to in ICS .79 leak. I guess this is feasible for people who don't care about security, but they've removed the additional security layer from the slide feature.

Sorry if I made it seemed as though it was gone completely -- I should have stated that the security along with slide disappeared instead.

Oh ok. I don't care about the authentication part. That really stinks for people that want that but I guess they figured the face unlock feature takes the place of that? It's still strange for them to remove the option. In any case, if you just select slide and use that way is it responsive? My default lock screen now will stick every so often and it really bothers me. That's why I use WL.

Hmm, it seems pretty stable and quick for me. I think every now and then there would be a hiccup. The last time I experienced a hiccup was when I rebooted the phone and tried to unlock the phone almost immediately after it came up, but I expected that.

Cool. Good to know. Thanks for the feedback! I'm very curious to try everything out.

Np man, I hope you enjoy it. Besides that, the only other thing that truly annoys me is that they've removed the "Display only contacts w/ mobile numbers" filter. So there's no more phone book, you just have to use the "People" app now. This caused a whole bunch of random email addresses that I've communicated with to appear in my list now, as well as Google+ and LinkedIn people to merge into my contact list that don't even have a phone number.

Ugh, thanks for the heads up on that one. I would imagine that it dumps your Facebook contacts in there as well. I did see that they removed the phone book and added the people app. You would think they would do this to make things easier but I guess not.

there is a slide for camera, text, unlock, and phone, but if you enable facial, pattern, password, or pin, you no longer get the slide options when the screen is LOCKED. If you have a delay in the screen lock and the screen just goes to sleep, you will see the slide features when you wake it up if it has not locked yet. However, in GB whether you had locking enabled or not, you still got the slide feature, which was nice... I see this ICS iteration as a step backwards.

As for my experiences so far...
battery seems to drain faster and charge slower while charging during use.
mobile hotspot seems to work much better with no connection issues that I experienced previously.
love the screen capture.
love the swipe to close feature.
the camera takes much better pictures, previously they would often be blurry requiring me to take several shots to get a good one... Now, every shot I have taken has been crystal clear.
overall everything seems to run more smoothly and quickly.
I love chrome browser!
I love the new continuous voice input feature.
love the easter egg!
a few issues I have come across....
I use Launcher Pro and the favorite contact's widget loses its drop-down capabilities in this launcher.
also using launcher pro, when I try to add a widget on a home screen, the pop up selection of widgets has a white background and white text next to each widget icon making the text invisible until pressed.
I use Handcent for texts and cannot get the notification led to change to a different color. Previously I set the led to blue for texts and left it green for email so I did not have to wake up the phone to see whether I had a new text or email.
also since installing Handcent, I often get double instances of text messages, that is, if I'm in another app or the screen is in sleep, the text will pop up on the screen and the same text will pop up again a moment later as if it were a different text. This does not happen if I am in the Handcent app, and yes, I set the stock text app to not check for messages or post notifications.
also, while texting as well as inputting text in the browser, the keyboard sometimes just disappears and hangs until I press some other button, then the keyboard will return.

so, most of my issues are with apps that I have added and not necessarily with ICS itself... Overall, I am enjoying the new features, the increased speed and smooth feel, and the improvements to hotspot and camera. I just wish the battery would not drain so fast!

Edit: forgot to mention my favorite new feature... I love that I now have global functionality! I'll be going to Ireland this Friday and will still be able to use my RAZR!
Edit 2: forgot to mention my second favorite new feature... I love that I can now disable the bloatware!

Yeah it does that as well. I used to always have a well-managed contact list that was very organized... I've given up on maintaining that.

One feature I havent found yet.... on GB when you dumped a call to VM you had option to reply with text. Is that buried in ICS somewhere?

Any one haveing issues with web browser video playback? video will load but wont play, try to full screen it turns it to white screen, tried to hrd reset and another browser, no diffrence . thinking its just adobe flash needing an update. anyone got ideas?

Dialer>tap menu, Settings> Quick responses.

When a call come in, hit the text button, bottom center.

Here is my experience after having it installed since 7 PM last night (eastern).

Pros:

- Battery life has increased (I have the OG Razr, not the MAXX.) I'm seeing a lot where it made it worse. This is not the case for me. GB was a bit of a hog and it seems like ICS is slimmed down.
- Combining all of my music icons into one is a nice space saver and it is more aesthetically pleasing.
- The camera definitely seems more high def, and the ability to snap pictures while recording a video is definitely a nice feature.
- Navigating around the app drawer and opening up apps is a lot smoother than Gingerbread.
- When I scroll down in my browser (which is insanely fast btw) I don't have that slight hesitation anymore. It just scrolls down instantly.
- Face recognition is pretty accurate.
- Text to speech works pretty well, a lot better than Siri when tested side by side.
- The black and blue color is a minimalist look that I love.
- I would say the easter egg, but I do not know what it is? Please, someone enlighten me!

Cons:

- The camera needs a manual focus. Taking pictures of still images close up causes it to auto focus on the background and the close up images are blurry. For this reason, I still use my Canon G7 for close images.
- Text to speech is quite sensitive and will pick up pretty much everything in a room with more than one person talking.
- The screenshot works well, but I'm not too fond of the combination of doing so (VOL DOWN and POWER)
- Unless I am just not seeing it, I miss my "Clear all" for all of my notifications. Swiping them out of the way is no big deal, was just a lot easier hitting "clear all."

That's all I have for right now, I'm sure there is more stuff I can't think of off the top of my head.
