[ROM] ApeX 1.2 Series for Droid X - Functionality and Performance (12/7/10)

Pretty sure .9 and .15 kernels are compatible though, so you could just flash 1.0.2.2 and call it a day ;)

would you recommend I do a wipe data/cache first?

Yes, absolutely.

Just installed it. I love the transitions. If I install the nextheme, will I lose the transitions? BTW, this is the EXACT experience I wanted with my phone. Stock Android with all the hardware functions in tact (i.e. hdmi). Great work!!

anyone familiar with switchpro? i use it as my power control widget...and the reboot/reboot into recovery button on the widget doesnt do anything, it doesnt even ask for SU permission....so i download quickboot...and it does ask for permission but it takes me to stock recovery and not CW. any ideas?

I am having the same issue with switch pro. Usually I just use the reboot recovery option in the droid x reboot recovery app from koush.

I have been using quick boot just for regular reboots if I need to reboot. Either that or I open terminal.
Type
su
reboot

The app or power off battery pull and then power on is the only way to get into CW recovery once you have bootstrapped your os.

Get the correct NexTheme version from the themes thread and you'll retain transitions ;)

So the reason it doesn't boot into CW recovery is because it's not a real recovery. It does not replace the stock recovery like it does on other devices (i.e. devices without locked bootloaders).

So the app is behaving properly. If you wish to boot into recovery, you MUST use the bootstrapper app or ROM Manager. Our recovery is actually just a hijacking of the Android bootup process to start the pseudo recovery environment before the majority of the OS loads up.

Hey fab,
First let me say I love this Rom. It is so silky smooth it is awesome. My question is every now and then when I go to play music the player says file type not supported on music that it always played. I think it may have been because I tried switching it to music mod but it didnt work so I switched it back. what I did was in terminal emulator typed in music and then typed in music -mod and it came up with

mount: Operation not permitted
failed on '/system/app/music.apk' - Read-only file system
failed on 'system/app/musicmod.bak' -no such file or directory
mount : operation not permitted
music mod Enabled

Im sorry if the answer is obvious. from what I take it there is no music mod so it cant install it but why does it say it is enabled? and why does it occasionally say that the file type is not supported? Thank you for any an all help.

Did you type "su" and enter before you tried the music script?

Ehh...I removed the music script, apparently not from 1.0.2.2 though (oops!)

Don't use it!

I believe that the issue stems from 2.3.15, as it is an issue that the 2.3.340 update will fix. Personally, I have never encountered it. I believe a reboot is the temporary solution though.

Hey Fab maybe you will know the answer to this...what happens to the folks on 2.3.320 since it was announced the update will be 2.3.340?

Hey Fab, quick small question:

today my friend called and i got sliders for answer/ignore. she called again right after and i got buttons rather than sliders. what are the conditions for getting one or the other?

Quick question on Blur Alarm... Ran the script alarm -aosp and got errors "no file" etc. Renamed BlurAlarm.bak to apk and DeskClock.apk to .bak. Nada. Reran the script, nada. Ideas?

Edit: Nevermind, I'm an idiot. Should've been alarm -mot

Im running 1.2.1. I've been having trouble getting my mms messages to download through handcent. I can only download them thru the stock messaging app. I also cannot get video mms to work right at all. It downloads as a qcp file and is like a pic with sound. Anyone have any thoughts on the issue
