[ROM] ApeX 1.2 Series for Droid X - Functionality and Performance (12/7/10)

OK so I installed this ROM with the BigDX theme and all is working perfect. Only problem im having is receiving doubles of every text which is very annoying. I was able to stop the dual notifications, but im still getting 2 of the same texts. In applications i have 2 Texting apps. Messaging and Text messaging which is the themed version. Anyway to remove the stock messaging app?

Any help would be appreciated

This might be a stupid question, can the ApeX 1.2.1 ROM be installed over the OTA 2.3.340? Or does the ROM need to be redone for the .340 update?

It's not really a stupid question, just a very common one right now. The answer is that it's not really worth the risk. It's very possible you will get a lot of errors and bugs. It's also possible that even if you get no errors or bugs, you might write over a lot of things unique to .340 when you install apex over it, meaning you will essentially just bring yourself back to a non .340 system outside of the bootloader. Just wait a week or so for roms designed for .340.

I'm sure there are people who test it, so they might have a better answer.

Awesome rom. Super quick and stable has heck. The only thing I miss is the stock text app from the droid x. Any way to get it back? Btw im running the gingerbread theme and keyboard and so far so good but the keyboard takes some getting used to. Might switch back to stock dx keyboard.

Wait, trust me, just wait lol. In the last 2 weeks I've seen more brick threads from ppl trying to mix/match or load the newest leading edge stuff without testing or something else... This is why I asked in another thread if Apex 1.2.1 is ok to run on .340 or just wait. I will do nothing till I hear from Fab on how his stuff works on the new OTA.

With that said I do already have the .340 system SBF ready to go as soon as I see the green light. I learned the hard way that you have to grab any and all SBF files as soon as they release because they have a bad habit of vanishing from sites lol.

Fab... Please tell me Apex 1.3 is coming soon. This stock android is so dull. I also can't seem to figure out how to get corporate email working either. Is there an APK I can pull from the current Apex release to do that email -aosp trick?

Does the hotfix still need to be applied?
