tried a couple versions of swype and they all force closed

Hey, can you do me a favor and try this out:

download this file and place it on your sdcard:

http://fabdroid.com/goodies/libSwypeCore.so

Then, in terminal emulator:

su
sys -rw
cp /sdcard/libSwypeCore.so /system/lib
chmod 644 /system/lib/libSwypeCore.so

Reboot the phone, and try installing Swype again?

ok i tried this twice
first time i go

unable to chmod 644 /system/lib/libSwypeCore.so file not found or something like that


the second time i typed it and hit enter it just went to the next #

so i rebooted installed sywpe and it force closed again

i will try this again tonight when i get home ....

I just moved the file to the lib file under system in root explorer. Works fine.

howdy all... Love the ROM and the new toolbox is awesome!

I wanted round battery icons, and green icons for the majority of the notification stuff (like the battery/wifi/3g)... so i made a metamorph "theme" to do just that... I left the charging animation the same because I like the different icons while charging (quick and easy to see that it's still charging, lol)...

I attached the zip and 3 of the icons so you can take a look... they aren't perfect (vibrate icon for example) but they work for me, so i figured I'd post 'em up just in case somebody else wants them)... use the attached zip with metamorph from the market

NOTE: i noticed after you apply it in metamorph and it reboots, you'll get a "application not responding, FC or wait" screen... if you just reboot (press alt+shift+del on the physical keyboard) at that point everything works fine... not sure why it does that...

as always do a nandroid backup before applying just in case something goes wrong... and I am not responsible for anything that happens...

So i've only used Liberty before, but am back to stock since I'm one of the minority that likes some Blur. I'll definitely be trying this though!

Fabolous tweeted a link to this... i thought i'd go ahead and post it here... the theme is just plain amazing (IMO) it's got a couple places that say "DroidX" but I don't really mind it on my D2 lol

over clocked to 1200

I downloaded and installed liberty rom about a week ago. I did a reset a clear. Now I still have liberty coming up on the first load screen where the M use to be. How do I change it?
