[ROM] ApeX V1.4.1 for Droid X & Droid 2 - Refinement and Ease of Use (2/22/2011)

All of my contacts don't show up.

Anyone else having trouble with all of your contacts showing up w/Apex 1.4.1?

They are on my google account, but not all of them show up on my phone now. Was on Liberty and didn't have this problem.

Yeah, I probably should have more people test the D2 version for me ;)

Can you try this one? Apply some themes or whatever causes the FC and let me know if it's still doing it.

Remember to run the script after your phone is complete finished booting up:

su
startup

Thanks!

EDIT: don't be alarmed if your terminal "freezes" for like 30 seconds. I forgot to take out the wait period (which was important when it was being autorun).

So far so good Fab... flashed overtop of 1.4.0 (like I did with 1.4.1) changed all my settings and rebooted, and it booted up just like it should... I'm gonna do some more things in an attempt to create the FC but I've got a feeling it's good to go :)

Sounds like something in the startup sequence just didn't like the new scripts so maybe there is a terminal command that can automatically run the script after the boot? Does that sound like a possible solution Fab?

Okay, I figured out my contacts problem. If you go to the dialer, then use the contacts tab within the dialer, all my contacts are there. If you use a shortcut on the dockbar, or the contacts shortcut in the app drawer it doesn't show all the contacts. Must be a routing problem or something within the ROM. Just a heads up on bug, FAB.

Well I have been running it for most of today and done pretty much everything to get it to FC but nothing yet... I think we have solved the problem... Anyway to just delay the script? Through the terminal or something like I mentioned above?

ok so i have 142 set up
theme flashed
over clocked
we will see how it goes............

so tell me what happens? what are we losing if we done run startup scipt???

i dont know if ill remember or want to have to remember to run it every boot up

data throttle

ok so this has the data throttle hack as default right? cuz i thought that if u had that went into setting and to wireless and networks then clicked on mobile networks that it would put u back to first page of settings?? im confused now

Go into toolbox then goodies then toggle custom boot logo then turn off the sound ull see it once u get into the right menu

umm..
Can someone give me a heads up on what's going on this thread, I wanna try and understand and would like to have my input on this If i can or could.
Is everyone experiencing the same problems? Ppl on the Droid X and Droid 2? System Force Closes/Reboots....Or did the problem already get resolved?

This for them peeps who are on the earlier versions of apex, or already on the 1.4.1 that has flashed over 1.4.0 and are experiencing minor problems.....

I for one did try and flash 1.4.1 over 1.4.0
NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!

So now about an hour ago I,

-BOOTED INTO CLOCKWORK
-wiped data (factory reset)
-wiped cache..
-FLASHED MY STOCK ROM
-wiped data (factory reset)
-wiped cache..

I don't know why I did the second wipe but i did it for good measures...

-INSTALL FROM SDCARD
-Apex 1.4.1

..so far so good.. I just switched up the keyboard and flashed Revo and no FC's...
I'm setting up everything back up now, all my overclock profiles..

Fab! You should consider just telling everyone to do a clean flash of your rom, you should recommend it...=D

I haven't had 1 force close on my dx. Not even a fc of an app....
Wiping cache partition and dalvik worked for me.

Well to recap everything that has happened, I posted a problem about system FCs on startup of 1.4.1 only on Droid 2 (droid x is unaffected by this) but we managed to narrow it down to the start up script and now some of us are beta testing a fixed version of the rom for the droid 2 only and so far no problems when the problem script is run after boot...
