[ROM] ||ROM| |AXI0M v2.4 | |APEX V5 KERNEL | |1/6/2012|

i have been on theory roms since zygot 1.4 but this is the first time i noticed, only after a reboot, i get "updating Android" optimizing 101 apps. that takes a minute or so to complete. at first i thought it was the cwm file that i didn't rename or delete but it wasn't that. anyone else seeing that? it doesn't do it if i power off the phone and turn it back on. Other than that this rom is great. i am on franco's kernal nightly #6, phone is very snappy and responsive. thanks

There is a build.prop mod that works...found on rootzwiki... no credit to me though

Add

ro.kernel.android.checkjni=0

To your prop file

Disables kernel debugging and improves screen and app drawer transitions. Axiom 2.1 is already a quick rom... but this really increased app drawer scrolling imo

Could you expand on this process please? I have Axiom 2.1 but I am not sure what my "Prop file" is or how best to add it? Thanks

Now this is a great ROM. at 75% after 11hrs. Granted I didn't use the phone as much as I normally do, but it's not draining battery just sitting there like some ROMs have in the past. looking forward to updates.

Yeah link above. The frame rate mod didn't improve anything to my observations so I removed it.

You edit the file using root explorer

Not sure whats up with mine then, cuz I am at 7 hrs and 47%....

The pro version of titanium is absolutely worth it. This rom is great. I've had no wifi issues. If anything, my data connections are better. Also I've gotten the best battery life with this rom. Great job

Okay,
So here are my observations with this ROM. There are things I like and things I don't

I did a complete wipe. Coming from Android Revolution. Set CPU is maxed out to 1420 with the interactive governor

Here are my comments
- I know people are saying this ROM is zippy, but I'm seeing some lag...not a whole lot, but still present. Much more should be present for a clean install. This is with zero widgets.
- Quadrant score is 2240 at 1420 interactive. Quadrant score is 1804 with 1200 interactive. Scores seem really good.....but just not seeing that in usage.
- On Android RevHD, the planet animation would play at ~ 50fps....SUPER SMOOTH, NO shadowing on the moon at all (Score:1804). Planet animation is choppy again ~10 fps on AXIOM with score 2240
- This is reflected in Shadowgun. The game is slightly choppy in AXIOM even at 1420. Smooth in Android Rev HD.
- Unlocking is choppy for me
- Dock and Icons options do not do anything for me in Trebuchet launcher options
- Facebook contact sync, once set up does not appear to update all contact pics....but once I visit a profile, that pic shows up in contacts. BUT the sync does appear to be set up correctly and works better than stock. 4.0.2

Overall, the graphics performance for both everyday animations and games are better in Android HD for me. That coupled with the fact that many settings at this point at little more than placeholders probably won't have this as my daily driver. If any of this appears to operator error, do let me know.

I do intend to try it out in the future though.

Soft key mod does not have options on the launcher but is there in most apps. I'm on 2.1 and its been that way since I flashed the mod.

did anyone play around with voltages yet on setCPU??? I'm curious if anyone was having any luck messing around with it and noticing improved battery life. Just flashed 2.1 right now just finishing setting it all back up and tweaking to my likings... As per usual thx DT you are a legend, i love your work!

Before I flash this because it has great reviews and I'm excited for it I have a question. Since it is VZW enabled that means that it doesnt have tethering correct? Do you ever plan on going stock to enable wifi tethering? I'll let you know my performance tomorrow after I flash it. Happy Holidays!

installed this ROM in order to contribute to saving the puppies...the stability and speed of it are a nice footnote but the puppy saving is what really sets it apart
