sbf or factory reset

do i have to sbf from moonshadow or can i go into recovery and wipe and factory reset then flash? im starting to get tha hang of this then i get somethin that makes me scratch my head. i just flashed molton a few hours ago but wanted to flash cm7.

Can anyone tell me if I need to sbf back to stock before I install the newer release of CM7 over the existing Cm7 beta I'm already running?

I'm assuming not, but this phone is so finicky! Any clarity would be much appreciated!

If anyone is experiencing problems with this rom not installing with a status 7 please let me know. I used 2.3.4 from the posted link and had problems with the kernel check. I fixed the issue and know what to do. My X2 has never been better!

Anyone have any suggestions as per how to replace this keyboard. I hate this keyboard, I want the regular Motorola one. I know theres a way to flash it I've done it before.

I may b dumb to ask this but how can you use widgets on this rom? All the apps I downloaded that hav widgets wont show up with the others that are already on there.

Honestly the only issues I've had were the keyboard and the fact that my favorite app tiny shark doesn't work. Other than that best rom ever

Are you referring to swype? They seem to only really package for MFRs. you can get the swype beta free though, with the same functionality. just google swype beta.

I hate the keyboards I am using the ported ICS one but I am not a fan, I am talking I love the straight old school AOSP keyboard especially when rotated which Cyanogen seems to have a problem with

So far my only problems with this ROM [which is amazing and epic]
Crap keyboard
Bluetooth only connects to media wont connect to phone/audio
Can't seem to rotate, dont know why?

The only "problem" I'm having is that my battery life has decreased significantly. I did a calibration and nothing has changed. With blur, when the battery gauge went down, and I rebooted the phone, it went back about 15 to 20%. Granted, this was certainly an error on blur, but it did work and I would get a good day and a quarter out of the phone. Now, I'm getting more like a solid work day.

Other than that, I absolutely love cm7. Very smooth, fast and reliable. I have not had to reboot at all in the past week. With blur, I rebooted 4 times in two days.

Anybody notice the camera doesn't allow you to zoom or change effects? Also, it doesn't autofocus. Other than those two things, I think the rom is great.

Like any major change, you should always backup just in case. However, you should retain all your files with no problems. Just make sure you follow all the steps exactly as they are listed. Good luck!
