[ROM] [ROM] Droid Concepts Froyo Releases [BETA versions]

Cant seem to log into my Google account. in maps...says "login Failed" and wants me to log into Google....when I try it reads I already have an account. Uninstalled, reinstalled, rebooted, deleted data, pulled battery..nothing seems to help;can anyone?
I love the ROM. Very fast and smooth, just this one thing,so far:-).

I've been having this issue for a little while too. When you open maps and it asks you to log in w/ a google account, does it give you any icons in the notification bar? I was getting 3 of them, each asking for some sort of access to my google account. Back out of the log into google, pull down the notification bar, go through and approve each one. This has solved my problems with Maps.

I don't think I've been able to successfully log-in to Google Maps the first time in at least 8 months. Its a little annoying, but has not affected usability so far.

Music and Maps did this to me a while back asked me to give odd permissions to them. For Music it asked to allow the permission "j" after I updated it then I couldn't log into maps or music. I flashed a nandroid and reupdated the apps and its been fine since.

Hmm thanks for letting me know about this, its something new I've never heard of before, I will check into it. One thing I would ask you to try because with the Google apps on build 9 i updated it to include the DroidEmailPolicy.apk if you know how go into /system/app and remove that and then see if it still does it, idk if it will change anything but i know i changed that from the other older google apps i had posted. It may or may not work if it does i'll remove it from the zip, if not o well it was worth a shot.. lol and I will check and see if i can't figure something out with the FWD issue on the exchange account

I just installed this rom after months of fighting with various Gingerbread roms on my OG. Gingerbread is nice but I'm sick of fighting with 3g staying connected and mail and sms sync failures.
But, I notice the same issue with this that that I had with stock Froyo. When I forward an email in the Exchange email app it cuts off the headers so it looks like I sent the email rather than forwarded it.
Any chance anyone has a fix for this or any chance a fix will get added to this rom?
Thanks for the awesome rom though! Everyone else seems to have given up on Froyo ... is nice to have this rom still getting development.

Hopefully I said this right.... The 3g issues and synching issues were on the gingerbread roms I was trying. Your rom is great I hope you keep developing froyo.
The only issue I'm having is the forward issue in exchange. That was in stock froyo also. Was fixed in gingerbread. I will try what you suggested above and let you know though. I'm guessing it won't since the issue was probably there before you added that.

I tried what you suggested...it did not fix the issue. As an fyi... The gmail app works fine... Forwards have the header info of where the email came from. Exchange mail does not. I evaled enhanced mail from the app store today and that keeps header info on forwards...not sure if that info helps at all

Couple of minor "issues" I've noticed... In terminal I can't up arrow to retype previous items..and in settings-about phone-battery usage... it shows the time since I rebooted rather than time since I unplugged and doesn't show all apps. Obviously not show stoppers for me. Once again great work!

Weird I just look at my battery usage and it shows "unplugged" ummm is your phone still plugged in? Lol had to ask. Granted I'm running build 10 but it shouldn't matter in that area.

oooooh I'm running build 10, I'm so much more advanced than you guys and your petty battery issues. :D

haha jk man, so build 10 is at least running on one device? How is it looking? Build 9 has been great, been running it since it dropped and still haven't had any issues. Keep up the good work guys. dancedroid

Mine does say since unplugged also, but when I looked at it last night it said 15 minutes. It had been 15 minutes since I had rebooted the phone, but it had been about 10 hours since I had charged it. (No it wasn't plugged in at the time ... lol)

Lol I've said to much but yes it will be pure perfection ...

lol glad you stepped in.. yes maps and other google apps sometimes dont log in until you accept permissions it was the new feature in froyo that google did to be able to give the user more control and to grant applications admin rights essentially, either way glad you got it.. :)

Build 10 is getting there, I have randomly selected 10 people from the 'mailing list' to give this test build a try, so if your on the list you may be getting an email shortly, I sent out 5 of them already, so there's 5 left..

i have to say its about 80% done with what we wanted to accomplish with it.. :p still a little more before were finished though.. but like I said will be here by Tuesday.. :)

I feel dumb asking this but I'm feeling lazy and don't want to drive to my comp now and I wanna flash along with gapps...

You can't flash gapps with sprecovery without connecting to comp to rename gapps to update.zip can u?
