im having a few problems with this rom. The home button does not work and i cant get it to let me log into get my apps back any advice?

Just a place to start, did u flash the needed gapps?

Exchange email forward headers

I just installed this rom after months of fighting with various Gingerbread roms on my OG. Gingerbread is nice but I'm sick of fighting with 3g staying connected and mail and sms sync failures.
But, I notice the same issue with this that that I had with stock Froyo. When I forward an email in the Exchange email app it cuts off the headers so it looks like I sent the email rather than forwarded it.
Any chance anyone has a fix for this or any chance a fix will get added to this rom?
Thanks for the awesome rom though! Everyone else seems to have given up on Froyo ... is nice to have this rom still getting development.

I must say that I'd given up on froyo because of the battery life I've been getting on gingerbread, but after going back to DC for jayR83's gold theme, I'm blown away by the speed and battery life on build 9. I'm running the stock kernel clocked at 600 and am so impressed with this build! Thanks for your hard work!

Yes two of almost the same, the plain LatinIME.apk doesn't have the autocorrect or anything, thats why a few posts back when someone said it wasn't working i said to go into settings and switch to the other keyboard, I will fix this with build 10 release, i just forgot to put in a script in the Google apps zip to remove the LatinIME.apk, I only left it in because if you dont' flash the Google apps then you obviously still need a keyboard, so if anyone else has the auto correct problem just switch the checkbox in your keyboard settings.. and i will add a script and update Google Apps for build 10..

i dont know how releveant this is, probably because i never payed attention before but...

while working on theming, i noticed that the main rom.zip includes "LatinIME.apk" and then when flashing the googleApps.zip "LatinImeGoogle.apk" is installed also, essentially ending up with 2 input methods...

im assuming they are the same?

Hmm thanks for letting me know about this, its something new I've never heard of before, I will check into it. One thing I would ask you to try because with the Google apps on build 9 i updated it to include the DroidEmailPolicy.apk if you know how go into /system/app and remove that and then see if it still does it, idk if it will change anything but i know i changed that from the other older google apps i had posted. It may or may not work if it does i'll remove it from the zip, if not o well it was worth a shot.. lol and I will check and see if i can't figure something out with the FWD issue on the exchange account

Glad you like it, hopefully you'll stick around because 10 is going to better than 9..

That is the plan, as for when it will be ready I'm not entirely sure, havn't touched anything all weekend because of the holiday weekend, but got back into stuff tonight, and started making progress again. what i can tell you is the main hold up is some of the color code for the pull down bar [meaning changing the color of the bar/pull-down] and the Galaxy-S widget [the widget in the pulldown] the initial code part is complete, but it needs cleaned up and modded slightly before its ready, but 10 will be out either late this week or early next week. At the latest it will be next tuesday, so a week from now.

So 10 gonna blow us away? Can't wait to see what it is. dancedroid

Map Won't Log in

Cant seem to log into my Google account. in maps...says "login Failed" and wants me to log into Google....when I try it reads I already have an account. Uninstalled, reinstalled, rebooted, deleted data, pulled battery..nothing seems to help;can anyone?
I love the ROM. Very fast and smooth, just this one thing,so far.
