People! Seriously? Hate to point out the obvious here, but the updates your looking for came out already: its called Fission 2.5.7. (Notice that 2.5.7 is higher than 2.4.3)

Just wanted toi save the frustration of waiting anymore.... i did the same thing for my sister... she had been waiting on the second coming of.... well anyways...

Gee, that would ALMOST be a useful post... If you weren't in the D2G forum... and if 2.5.7 supported the D2G. Hate to point out the obvious.

Let's not bite the hand that feeds us...

I understand wanting constant updates (I had a D1 and flashed ROMs a few times a day), but when there is only one dev out there that cares enough to port roms to our device, we should be thanking him rather than talking smack.

The D2 and DX, are very similar internally, the D2G on the other hand is a strange duck. There are a ton of lib files to muddle through so coming up with a stable rom that is functional isn't exactly simple.

Patience people, sometimes good things take time (especially when the maker of the good thing is injured).

So, for what it's worth, Thanks Angdroid for showing our great device some lovin!

Listen, nobody's "talking smack." And quit trying to shut people up. Let people air out their frustrations -- that does not make them bad people, so relax. Both sides have valid points. It'd be awesome if Team Defuse updated us on why we'd been told the update is imminent (twice), and then nothing was released. I think we can validly ask why without being accused of "talking smack" (which is complete and utter BS, btw). There's absolutely nothing wrong with asking/looking for answers. It's the lack of information that is unsettling. On the other hand, there's apparently only one injured person working on this ROM, and the SBF has been out for less than a month, so have some patience, as much as it sucks.

I have a non-update related issue.

In my Fission install, an app called "Fancy Widget" is showing up in my list of installed apps through the Market. However, this app is not installed, and has never been. When I click for more details, market says "The requested item could not be found."

I have searched through my phone and sd card for this app, and it is not there. I have factory reset my phone, and it still shows back up, despite not being installed.

Any other Fission users show this app?

Its a widget that got delelted from the market because it resembles the htc weather clock. So it in the widgets on your home screen and it won't open in the market because it use to be there and it isn't anymore, there's a new fancy widget that was made that doesn't resemble the htc's widget.

But I have never used it on my phone. I get that its not available anymore. Why would it show up in my market on Fission, but its never been listed on Stock.

It has me baffled how the reference even survived a factory reset.

At some point it apparently was linked to your Google account. On a past or current Android that you downloaded it from the market or installed a ROM that had the program. I have mentioned apps that I know were in ROMs on one of my phones at one point but no longer exist on the market. If it survives resets and clears of data, its linked to your Google account.

More market related questions:

Looks like my market is no longer showing my downloaded apps, just TBH's app. I was running the Black version of the Market from FRM when I saw the problem. I then changed to the blue version but have the same results. I'm not sure what else I need to do to get this ironed out. Any suggestions? I just went in to GO SMS and it notified me that it had an update. I updated via the app and now GO SMS shows up in the market as a downloaded/installed app.

go "re-download" all your apps... I had to do that a few times. It keeps record of purchased. Its a silly glitch I can't seem to iron out myself either when I flash/restore.
