[ROM] [Rom] Liberty3 For The Droid 2 11/04 - Its Time For A Revolution!

I'm using Jakebites mods now, they work great. You can download them through the rom toolbox. If you downloaded Liberty through the rom toolbox, just install it through the rom toolbox, no need to manually reboot into cwm, but the file goes into a folder named "romtoolbox." The rom tolbox also has an app manager in it that you can use to uninstall apps.

downloaded thru rom toolbox and it never prompted me to install it thru the app so i manually tried to do it thru clockwork and the file was no where to be found so i downloaded the zip off this website thru my comp and placed it on my sd card then installed it and worked fine, no when the phone boots up it is absurdly slow and almost unusable and will freeze up after about a minute and then i have to do a battery pull. i was just on the rc version of liberty 3 and it was working fine, did the data wipe and installed the 1.0 version and now i cant do much of anything? any help on what to do?

Try SBFing and starting all over. I know it's a bit of a pain, but I did it last night, SBF, get the OTA, root, then install Liberty, works amazing. After first boot, went back into clockwork and installed Jakebites. I haven't used my phone too much yet, but everything seems to work great.

On another note, is there a way to change the pulldown notification bar buttons like in CM7? I use the torch a decent amount and it would be handy to have a toggle for it in the notifications bar.

Anyone else having an issue with the screen not turning back on? It seems eveytime I hit the power/screen off button or the screen times out, the thing won't come back on and I have to do a battery pull and reboot for the screen to work again. I did the wipe and flash cylce 3 times and reverted to the rc and apex but its only an issue on liberty 3. I fixed permissions and all that jazz...any suggestions?

after a few battery pulls and restarts it sorted itself out, running perfectly now, restored all my old apps and set up the liberty customizer and all that jazz and now its back to 100% not sure what caused all the issues the first few times it booted up? thanks for the reply tho and as for the notification bar buttons i read that they arent yet customize-able

edit: issue ive found is that the blur gallery doesnt work when you pick it from the liberty customizer, it doesnt give me a force close message just tries to open then returns to the previous screen instantly, i really like the blur gallery over the aosp gallery so i hope this is worked out

Went from Liberty 0.9 to liberty 1.0 today. 3G won't work after many reboots, and battery pulls. What do I do ?

Liberty 3 works beautifully on the DX, so I am hoping to fix the D2 too.

Thanks !

I had issues myself trying to download it through rom toolbox. I had to remove and install rom toolbox and it downloaded fine. It didn't prompt me either, but you just have to touch it again and the popup menu that comes up will now have the option to install. The actual location of the file, if you download it through rom toolbox, is on your sd card under /romtoolbox/downloads/liberty. Also, you do have to have Rom Manager installed in order for it to work properly. It has something to do with restrictions that were put in on CWM and Rom Manager. I would do what Stoneddave said and SBF if you're having that many problems. Would probably be faster than trying to troubleshoot it.

Up and running with jakesmod v14, using v6 512HP aggressive, and undervolting as well, may still use jrummy's overclock app to set profiles for even lower speeds depending on overall batt usage, I am not in a situation atm where I can get flash happy every day, I need my phone to work lmao, looking forward to this week and seing how she tethers etc etc :D so far I am happy with this as compared to cm7

So...no one else having the screen wake up issue? Also I had similar problems with revs cm7...

I was running Liberty GB 0.9, and loved it, except I could never get bluetooth to work, just sbf'ed back to froyo, did the ota upgrade back to gb, then loaded the new Liberty 3... WOW it's amazing! Also, now my bluetooth works for voice command and calls, but I still can't get it to work with music, which is really the whole point to me... From what I understand, it's a GB problem in general, and has nothing to do with Liberty, also, I've seen people with the reverse, their music works, but not their phone calls with bluetooth. Does anyone have any ideas? I have a Jabra BT620s stereo headset, and the phone has a 10/26/10 date code.

How do I set my gmail notification to vibrate only but maintain my text message notification tone on this ROM?

You could use a different email app, I use K9 Mail, it's totally awesome, skinnable, and I love the way it handles multiple email accounts, you can choose different notification settings for each account... I don't believe you can do what you're asking with the stock gmail app...

just select the "silent" ringtone, but select "always vibrate" under vibration settings

What would be the correct cwm? I have 5.0.2.0. So can I just bootstrap recovery. And install from sdcard? Or do I have to revert to froyo? Im on the ota GB

I think I figured out...some system app i deleted was some how interfering. I just started freezing them with TB one by one to find the culprit but no luck yet...I'll get it one day. Although I deleted the same ones I normally do with other roms, who knows?
