[ROM] [Rom] Liberty3 For The Droid 2 11/04 - Its Time For A Revolution!

EDIT: Error with sd card. Sorry folks.

Trying to set up some alternate ringtones. For some reason selecting ANDROID when selecting ringtones throws the phone into a phone reset.

RC 1.2 Vs. Stable 1.0

I'm a little confused as to which is better/newer.

I have a Droid 2 and am running on Liberty 3 RC 1.2
I noticed that Liberty 3 Stable 1.0 is in the rom toolbox now (as well as here) and I am just wondering which is newer. Is 1.2 RC newer (even though it may be a release candidate for testing) or is 1.0 "Stable" the newer of the two Roms.

Thanks!

Stable 1.0 is the latest and updated from RC 1.2

I just had to uninstall/reinstall swype. This also happened on 1.2 - kept getting FC's on swype until I switched back to the android keyboard. Wiping swype data had no effect, even FC'd when going into swype preferences without swype as the keyboard.

I've had a few issues with Swype as well...I had to delete it via Tb and download the installer again. Still having issues after reboots and wakes from overnight. Idk what the deal is, I want to absolutely love this ROM, but the little quirks are making me want to head back to apex.

Sorry if i'm posting to the wrong area. First time posting. Does anyone know how to clear phone ->favorites -> frequently contacted list in Liberty 3 ver 1,0?

Ok, this time I pin pointed the issue with the screen not waking up. Its related to the interactive x gov, since I switched to smartass gov all issues related to the screen have disappeared.

Settings FC

Just installed Liberty 3 from 2 last evening. Had to do the SBF --> OTA update first.

One issue so far - Settings force closes every time. Have tried rebooting and fixing permissions. Any other ideas?

Here is the error: The application Settings (process.com.android.settings) has stopped unexpectedly.

EDIT: Problem resolved...

Hello. First post. Love the ROM. Battery life is so much better than what I was getting from stock. I've read on this forum and a few others about the stock picture gallery crashing the media volume (no audio from recorded videos, youtube, Pandora, HeyTell, etc). What I'm seeing is that I can take photos and capture video with the stock camera and camcorder, but if I view the files with the associated gallery, the volume breaks. Rebooting the phone appears to be the only fix.
If I capture the pic/video, but use another option (ex: Astro Picture Viewer) things continue to work fine. I've set the default viewer from within Astro File Viewer to open the associated files with the desired app to avoid the problem.

- Does anyone know of another workaround, fix, or patch?
- Are there other apps for capturing photos/videos that have associated viewing galleries that do not cause this issue?

Thanks again to the devs for a great ROM.

I had the same issues when I restored apps and data with TB...try a reflash and restore just user apps and restore data on just the apps that you "have" to. That's my only suggestion...worked for me
