[ROM] [MikRoms] Gingeritis v1.0 Final [6-13-11] Updated!!!

Guess you are having a tough morning.

boot into recovery via ROM manager, wipe via recovery, install ROM via recovery which you are already in), reboot, follow all the initial setup prompts, log into the market, grab titanium backup and install it again, run the batch file "restore all user apps and data"

I am assuming of course that you are already rooted and have ROM Manager installed.

Yes sir. I've rooted and flashed before but this rom seemed a bit ominous and I wanted to make damn sure I had it clear in my mind.

I'm on a Mac so if it bricks then trying to sbf is a royal pain in the ass.

Thanks for the clarity. It's really no different than any other Rom but I wanted to make sure.

Thanks again!

No different than flashing any other ROM. If you do not wipe, you will NOT brick. You just won't be able to do anything except pull the battery and manually go into recovery mode via holding down the power button and the volume down key.

I think the ominous warning is that you MUST wipe moving to any GB ROM.

BTW, there is an android SDK with ADB for mac, otherwise parallels / vmware work very well too.

OK--I zigged when I should have zagged...

Got it flashed but no service? I installed the radio first and then the Rom.

What's my next move?

Yikes... I used rom manager.

Was that the wrong thing to do?

I've already flashed it back to stock and restartgin with rooting but after I get back to it...

Download the radio. It HAS to go in the root of your SD card as named.

Make sure you have a good battery charge.

Reboot your TB, and as it starts to boot back up hold the volume button down.

HBOOT (boot loader) will start up and find the image and ask if you want to flash it. As long as you have Clockwork Recovery installed, choose yes.

It will take some time.

As soon as that is done, you will be at the HBOOT menu again, choose "Recovery" which will bring you into recovery mode.

I suggest mounting the SDCard via USB right then and deleting the Radio image as leaving it in there will cause you needless headaches.

After deleting the IMG file, use CWR to wipe everything and install Gingeritis.

I would suggest checking out this link and make sure you follow the "rooted" instructions (assuming you are still rooted). If you went back to unrooted stock, root first and then follow the rooted instructions so you can flash custom ROMs again.

Just to clarify the above, the radio file linked above is ONLY for rooted devices, if you lost root when flashing back, regain root before flashing the radio. The radio in the OP i the same radio as in the link in my prior post for rooted users.

Can we get a few stability reports & which kernel you guys are using? I love Thunderrom with Control Freak 2.0 kernel, but I'm eagerly awaiting a GB rom/kernel package that is extremely stable.

I will say ..... battery life with ALL the GB ROMs I have used do not stack up the the battery life I got out of A Perfect Storm 1.5, which I really liked as a Froyo ROM.
