[ROM MOD] AOSP Liberty GB

I've read the whole thread and didn't see an answer......
Will there be updates to this rom? I'm itching to try something new from 0.9....but not if it is fading out...
Thanks

I doubt there are gonna be any updates to this ROM. It is a good ROM though and I would recommend it

SSX v2.0

I switched back to gb V.9 because my contact assigned ringtones wouldn't play only my default ringtone would. AOSP is alot faster!

App data question

I read that we should NOT restore data from titanium, but my question is why? That is A LOT of work to get things back to normal. Just reloading all of my K-9 settings for 4 different email addresses will take 20 minutes? What will happen if I do restore app data to maybe a few different apps that have a lot of data that I don't really feel like reprogramming? I assume the answer will be, "I don't know, but don't come to us when your phone screws up!"
However, I wanted to ask just in case I misunderstood the intent of the statement.
It has been a while since I loaded a new ROM, so I am excited to have a new look on my phone!

Data from one rom doesn't usually play nice with another. This usually only applies to system apps not data apps, but it's just a safe guard to only restore data to non system apps that you really need (angry birds etc..)
Basically, don't restore data from system apps (prob better to stay away from restoring any system Apps period). You'll probably be OK restoring data on non system apps (I wouldn't do it globally tho, just the ones you really need)
Hope this was clear :)

THANKS! Makes sense and will save me a TON of time....I can never get all of my settings and colors and things exactly the same anyway.
Pretty excited to try something new

I restored some data apps with data when I put this ROM on, and I had some issues at first but fixing permissions fixed those. System apps are, as said, the sticky ones. But with k-9 I would restore app and data then fix permissions.

On this ROM do we not have access to "reboot recovery" from Liberty toolbox?...I couldn't find it in the entire toolbox, so I tried my old Bootstrap Droid X which didn't work (the whole droid 2 bootstrap issue).

Liberty Toolbox has been updated and it says there's a patch available. Is it okay to install or will it mess things up (i.e., is it the 0.9 patch for Liberty and not for AOSP Liberty)?

That patch doesn't do anything. I installed it, went back checked for patches again, installed it again /repeat. So... yeah

I've restored non-system data across many roms.

I'm sure it's OK most of the time. I just don't unless I really need that data. It's more a system app thing that you don't want to restore data with.
