[ROM]One small step for man one giant leap for --- Liberty 1.5 2/2/2011

i love liberty roms! they do nice work. unfortunately i wish i hadn't stayed up to download this! the rom looks and runs great but its not as smooth on my phone as rubix 1.9.7. i didnt see much difference between 1.0 and 1.5. This is still a solid rom and in no way am bashing it, just doesnt work for me! but im sure i will give it another try when i get home from work!

Loaded late last night and so far working great. I wanted to say thank you to KEJAR31 and JRUMMY16 and also to Fab for his download link. I can't imagine all the work that must have gone into 1.5 but it is very appreciated.

After dialing *228 I don't get a dial pad. Is this due to the ROM or the theme I installed (Linear)?

Try disabling in call touch ui in call settings. This should give you a pull up dialer for using *228. If you don't like the pull up feature enable it after you're done

Anyone know how to make my android browser or skyfire browser able to download files like the liberty rom? I just replaced my old dx and the new one won't download the files. Something about non-supported content on this phone.

twitter error

twitter wont sign it gets a unexpected error if i uninstall it and try to install from market gets a error im using the blue gingerbread theme and it comes preloaded in it. i reinstall theme and still the same issue

OK one more theme question. Would there be an easy way for me to replace the battery icon images on our phone? I would like to replace the green in the battery sets 2,3, and 4 in the battery Icon picker (they are SCREAMING to be yellow not green!)

Might want to tweak minfree. There's a gigantic difference in default minfree values between liberty and rubix.

Also rubix has sysctl enabled by default.

Hello imronburgundy,

Download Astro File Manager from the market, free app, when opened hit menu click preferences and scroll down to an option that says "enable internet downloads," or something to that effect. That should fix the problem for ya.

Would you mind explaining what this does, and what the suggested values may be?

It configures androids low memory killer. As for what's suggested I think you will get very different answers between jrummy and drod. :)
If you want to get closer to rubix defaults I think you go to liberty settings (Free Memory) and set minfree to 100mb.

Also dont forget to enable sysctl for potential performance and battery life gains.

Doesn't seem to make a difference with it checked or not checked unfortunately. Is anyone else seeing the same thing or is my install just botched?

Quick question:

I love swype......I NEED swype. I have it on my phone and it's under keyboard settings, but I cannot select it as my primary keyboard. Anyone know how to change this?

Thanks
