Do you have to select anything specific to put it on your sd?

Just drag it on your sd card, but dont put it in any folder, put it in the root of the sd. Do you have the droid 2 bootstrap?

If you need any help just pm me, I'll be on the forum for a while.

Please help

I just rooted and put Liberty on my phone, My contacts are gone and I had over 200....Is there a way to get them back, or remove Liberty to start over??

your phone should have came with a usb cable, plug it in and drag the rom folder to your sd card, if you dont have a usb cable, then download the rom from your phone, then move it to the root of your sd card, meaning not in any folder.

you have to flash your backup then go to contacts and hit settings, export, and export them to a csv file on your sd card, I also import the csv file into gmail so they always come back automatically.

I was wondering if someone can do a video tutorial on Installing Liberty 1.5 on an R2Droid2. My phone comes in on Monday, and I really need help with this. ive seen the 2 videos on youtube but it doesnt go to much into detail. I need help from the things i need to programs i might need to apps.................................................

I really dont know what to do or what i need. Im guessing SD card is smart to have lol. should a root first or do the Titanium Backup or do i have to root in order to backup? anything that i need to do on my computer? can i use an iMac to work on instead of PC?

Main focus: get rid of unnecessary things on the phone..apps/pics/etc.., I prob dont need everything star wars themed but i do like the R2 start up.

-select "mounts and storage"
-select mount /system
-go back "powerbutton"
-select "install zip from sdcard"
-select "choose zip from sdcard"
-find and select TheameName.zip

Ok. Im starting at the point after I activating my phone. After i get Z4Root and root my phone; I should get Clockworks? Does Clockworks give me backups or is there another program to do this? I was told to get Titanium Backup.. And is most of this done off the phone or is some of this have to be done on a comp? and under the download section which one do i download????????????????????????? or does it even matter?!!!!?!!?!?!?!?!

im a complete noob. so any help would be awesome. the more detail the better! :icon_eek:

Root your phone
Download clockwork recovery from the market
Download titanium backup
Backup w/ TB
Backup w/ clockwork recovery
Follow install instructions

All this can be done on the phone, personally I downloaded Liberty onto my laptop then moved it to my SD card. Download the appropriate version (D2 for D2, Dx for Dx).

Thanks;
ill give this a try later today :greendroid:
[[FedEx should deliver R2D2 today]]
I'll stick with Clockworks as well

This will be my first smart phone and hack/root,
ill make a vid to help others doing this if im successful lol

cant get to recovery

I rooted with z4root; Backed up with Titanium Backup; i went to Rom Manager and went to backup current rom..it rebooted then i went to rom manager again and went to reboot into recovery. i held X when the screen went black to go to recovery before the "M".. it loaded a little bit then i got an exclamation point next to the android guy. sometimes it will freeze there or it will reboot again and start up normally.

any ideas why this is happening?

[[[my rom manager is at ClockworkMod 2.5.0.8]]]
