[ROM Release] Sourcery ROM V2.0

Okay, I'm loving this ROM (wish there was a way to keep the "mist" background and have the alarm clock / contacts display properly..but oh well, the work around works too) ...

K...so, two times today, after I got done with a phone conversation, my phone started spazzing out. Changing screens, opening apps, etc... It was like it was possessed(sp?).

I remember seeing something somewhere on DF net where someone was having a similar issue - just don't recall what subforum or the situation was.

If anyone has any advice on this I'd appreciate it - I can repost this in the main Sourcery forum under its own thread if needed / recommended.

Alright darkmatter let me know how the other kernel works out and let me know what theme you're on so i can look at the browser in it. I have not had any of those type problems before and you're the first i've heard of.

leonozug me and eagle are looking into your're problem not really sure what is up with this i don't have the problem using the build your own kernel but it seems a few others as well have run into this problem so we'll have it looked at and we plan to have an update for it this weekend if all goes well.

Maybe he's not hitting the apply button before he leaves the Milestone Overclock Module...Sometimes it's the simple things...

No...I did that. It said "Failed to apply". I tried everything man.

You're getting failed to apply? did it load the module? and you have the cm kernel installed because that's the only one that works with

I have to chime in on this. I also have had major problems with this, but mine always underclocks under the min. No matter the min. setting it clocks at 250 in the widget and app itself. It flies past the max one second and below the min the next. I havent been able to get this rom to run long enough to stay with it for hours w/out force closing alot of apps I try. Tried lots of different install methods. Im sad cause I was waiting on this release.:icon_ cry::icon_ cry::icon_ cry:

Darkmatter what recovery are you using? it only installs it automatically and reboots if on clockworkmod otherwise if you are on sprecovery or the rz one you have to just select to apply update.zip and then reboot yourself. I have the scripts set to always rename the file to update.zip and place that at the root of your sdcard so that it would work with all recoveries.

Leonozug doesn't matter where you download from they're all pointed at the exact same files i don't have multiple files for each place. They all use the same exact link but you may have had a bad install but your problem you said was with the milestone app so i just need to make sure you installed the cm kernel and that you loaded the module you need to do both before using the make your own kernel option and the simple set your max speed in the app itself.

Techrob not sure what would cause your problem really but does this happen all the time? or was this a one time thing? As for ur background and working alarm clock and phone log if you put a pretty small image in you can have both it will just make the image weird looking which is why i recommend using a solid color but you could have say a blue background and a working alarm clock and call log

Yea liquid i would just try a different kernel cause from what i've heard and from using it myself sourcery is very stable and i have not had any type of issues like yours nor have i heard of them before your post.
Also did you wipe? if not that could be your problem
Or did you try reinstalling?

I have a ? I am having s heating issue with moderate to heavy use. It will shoot up to 45c and will never stay below 30c when in use. I average right around 42c. I have ran all the kernals and was wondering if somone can suggest any other kernsls. Links would help to thanx

Thanks for the reply on my issue GFlam.
It just happened again. I cann't recall ever experiencing this; it's happened 3 times today - after each phone call ...albeit, the 3rd time (just a few minutes ago), wasn't very bad compared to the first 2.

I'll play IT Tech / dectetive, and look to see if there are any apps that I recently installed that might be causing issues (tho i believe the last time i installed anything new was on Sunday...i guess maybe monday...need to double check).

I use clockwork mod. So when it gives me the E:notfound then reboots into recovery, I can choose update.zip instead of simply rebooting it again?

ok wht you are describing is not what has been described to me as the set cpu problem . i will have seomthing to try will need a full install once we doi this it will kill the google goggles woking on every kernel. i bleive that is the problem if thats not it than its a 2.2.2 issue but i have tried several differnt kernels with all 3 programs mentions and can not reporduce a problem on my phone but do have a couple testers that can reproduce the set cpu issues.

The force closures are not a probelm with the rom itself.
so did you restore using titanium backup?
did you restore from something that restored data to apps. ?

what theme are you on what themems have you used till you got to that one.

did it start after installing this last theme.

We cant help without some information so we can attempt to reproduce so we can see if its a repeatable problem so we can fix it.

but the set cpu issues dont cause force closures for anyone i have talkto with that issue.

SetCpu Problems Use FIX #1

Set Cpu issue resolved. use fix one
located in sourcery magic/sourcerywizardry/additional apps ..down near center press fix 1 will reboot. and problem will be resolved.

But this was caused by the fix for the goggles to run with slayher kernels so goggles wont work with slayher kernels any longer after this fix.

We are working on another fix for that for this weekend.

Sorry about the problem as usual didnt show up in testing and never caused a problem for me wierd?

Get the push re stecpu fix.
do it reboots and again no update zip.
it seems like i am missing the command line for connecting up to the server, which was visible on terminal in older versions.
now confirmed on all animations, themes, experimentals and now fix 1.

if you have the usb debugging on which you say you do.
and your sdcard isnt full
and your system memory isnt full
and you reset clockwork by seting back to sprecovery than back to clockwork.

wipe and reinstall

the current rom to download has the set cpu fix taken care of

Well there goes the time I had just set aside to start my Mayoral campaign.
Dagnabit.
You know who did this...them damn gremlins.
Oh GFlam I could never get the insert background to work and they were solid, solid as a rock. it just seems like enabling backgrounds, causes the dark grey blocks to appear in clock. No backgrounds and everything was fine and dandy.
Well got to go to bed so I can do all this on the can in the morn.
