[ROM Release] Sourcery ROM V2.0

I do not recommend trying this just sharing what may have worked but in the end may well not.
I mentioned on the irc or forum last night that if I was going to have to start from scratch, due to server connection problem, than I may as well just rip it up and mess with it and try some new ideas.
So I flashed the new version, up on the site now with setcpu fix built in, right over what I had doing nothing other than clear dalvik before flashing.
And hello there, I now had the cpu fix and yanked out cpuboost.
Then tested to see if I could do a dl of animation and it would connect to the server, hey now, perfect.
Also all my settings were still there as well as all my apps and data. Again don't do this unless like myself, you are planning on doing a whole fresh install anyways.
Everything has been running sweet.
I feel like a kid in the candy store and yet I can have it all and don't have to beg my mommy.
It is all told in the legend of the toke button. What does it do? Exactly!
So great fix on that gliche guys.
Also thanks to those backing up the validity of the post I quoted from another ROM forum to show that it wasn't Sourcery behind this battery issue, though it's true that the whole Cairo thing is their fault.
I have never had a battery issue so I can't really tell you, perhaps because there is no Succubus present in my abode.
How does a battery lose the ability to hold its charge? Can it degrade through time and use? Or is it that nothing is really reporting the real percentage it says the battery is at.
Hey PAR, try this test, turn the phone off for ten minutes and see if there is a major drop in the percentage. Perhaps when it is rebooted after some time off, rather than immediately, it gets an accurate read of the battery?
Just a thought.
But PAR, if you find all 10 batteries all have the same issue than we can check off that it isn't a battery issue regarding holding a charge.

Only thing I see that's missing is option for menu button to unlock phone...hope I didn't overlook that too. :icon_eek:

I did consider this but i figured since the galaxy widget has a button so there is no lock screen just sleep than straight to the desktop i ddint think it was necessary. I try to keep the rom over all as stock as possible i feel the more changes the more possible problems.
But not something that cant be done if its needed.

Tallica, you are a stand up cat, as others may have just creatively edited. All is good, and sorry I took out my 4 wood.
No on menu option, but the market has one that is maybe 50kb and free.
But that is literally the only thing missing. Eagle included a teleporter!
But the whole battery issue is in fact a mystery without a solution....rescue squad powers activate, form of a battery fix.
I don't have that issue, and I think eagle doesn't either.
Though it seems all across the custom boards many people are suffering from battery drainage.
Unfortunately sounds like the OG may be getting a little longer in the tooth than we presumed.

I guess I never do either as I am in the single phone group as well.
Well that confirms it, the government is spying on us using our phones.
This is to dissuade people from keeping the phone off so they can keep constant watch.:rofl3:

No it just makes them completely black so that the white text or numbers can be seen like for the clocks alarms and call log.
If you add a background those areas become funky again, but you now have a cool background that shows up between apps and as background for most menus. Like I said though, it reverts the alarms to greyed out.
But then you have a new game, what time are my alarms set for?

Look I cannot be held responsible for words coined by Siegfried and Roy.
Is there a setting that I don't see that fixes the phone orientation issue? I came from cyanogen and it had a setting that would fix the proximity sensor issue. Basically what happens is when you try to rest the phone on your shoulder and talk, the screen turns on and your face hits buttons like mute or even end call.
