[ROM] Rumm Rx v1.0 - First dose of awesomeness ;)

Loving the ROM so far but when I try to run the toolbox I get an error message that says

"This app is only available for JRummy ROMs. Please install a JRummy ROM or purchase apps by JRummy16 to get more features. The app will now exit"

Any ideas?

Did you get the tools app with the rom or a standalone. Worst case scenario just reinstall it without wiping data and cache.

I got the tools with the ROM, I had to reinstall the ROM after a system only SBF because I got in a bootloop after trying a metamorph notification bar, and since I reinstalled the ROM (didn't wipe this time) the toolbox isn't working. I'll try reinstalling again.

Everything seems to be working great...However I have a few questions that i can't seem to find the answer to on the first 39 pages...
1. Is it possible to simply use the default text messaging from 2.3.15?
2. How do I get all of my contacts to come with me to this rom? I want to use the backup assistance app, but it is not included.

I want to use this rom, but I am forced to not use it until all of my contacts can be moved over.
Sorry for the newb questions, but this is technically my first time flashing a ROM.

Thanks
(f.y.i. im using the 2.3.15 version, no leak)

You could save your contacts to your google account, but I'm not sure how to do that from Android. I did it on my blackberry and had to upload a .csv file of it. Or I don't remember if you can back them up in Titanium

Alright so I feel really dumb asking this question, but I'm gonna anyway.

So, I am currently running 1.8.9 RubiX. Now, this is the version of RubiX that is not for the leak, but when I go into About Phone, it says that this is Android Version 2.2.1. Now, I am fairly certain that this is the number for the leak. So, I just don't know which to use for this. Too many numbers. So confused. Plz help. :-D

Thanks!

If you have only installed RubiX 1.8.9, and you are sure then you shouldn't be on 2.2.1, I would guess that the info in the build is just wrong. I would try the version for the non-leak unless you're interested in installing the leak in which case do so.

Nice. Can't wait to try it!

Anyone know where I can find the corporate sync app????

I am running Rumm RX 1.0 and I have the corporate email app, but my sync is not working, I keep getting failure to connect to the server. I am going to wipe and install again, see if that addresses it.

If its missing on yours you can d/l the Blur 2.2.320 file and unzip it, look in system for the apk that is associated with the corporate mail. I will see if I can figure out which one, but likely someone will a bit more knowledge than I will get chime in.

I went back to the stock Blur from TBH and my corporate sync works again. I prefer Rumm RX so I am going to wait a bit for any suggestions or tweaks on why corp mail is failing. I need to get work mail as much as personal mail.

FYI... those concerned about the leak, there is now a full SBF for 2.3.320.

Don't be confused!!! If you run the 2.3.320 full sbf you will still not be able to return to 2.3.15.

Probably shouldn't go here, but...
FYI... those concerned about the leak, IF the next OTA from VZW isn't the same thing as the 2.3.320 leak... then there are going to be lots of very unhappy people stuck on the leak.

Reasoning: The OTA is a patch. It doesn't replace files, it patches them... so if you go to the leak you will not be able to OTA even with a .sbf, because the OTA will be looking to patch 2.3.15 files, not 2.3.320 files. Until TBH releases a method to go back, those now on the leak will be stuck if the OTA isn't exactly the same.

NOTE: TBH has assured everyone repeatedly that the next OTA from VZW WILL CERTAINLY be 2.3.320
NOTE2: TBH has also stated that they have a work in progress, that MAY be able to revert people on 2.3.320 back to 2.3.15. (Assuming they get permission to release it (??))

Now, I'm sure I'll get flamed by the leaklovers for this, BUT, I still believe that information/knowledge is a GOOD thing, so I'm posting so that anyone on the fence knows that there are still risks, even with a full .sbf

I would NEVER take anything away from TBH/P3/CW/etc. Awesome work leaking the leak! And they DO put tons of time and effort into bringing everyone the latest and greatest stuff!

(I'm sorry if any hands were bitten by this post... :(

I don't think hands were bitten. People need to know what they are risking by using the leak. For me, I just hope and pray that the next ota is the same as the leak. If it is not the same, is there any possible way for future updates?
