Its because in order to run the D2 roms smoothly the Sensors have to be turned off. Thats why the screen isnt automatically flashing back to portrait from landscape and also why the keyboard isnt working. Remember flashing the d2g_sensors.zip? Thats what turned the sensors off.

reflash the same d2g_sensors.zip, but fair warning, when you do that its reported that everytime the screen sleeps the phone will reboot. theyre working on it right now.

The newest version of Rom-er automatically disables the sensors. You can still use the Sensor.zip to enable them if you want to mess around.

So lets see if I got this straight, you flashed liberty 1.5, then flashed D2G_Romer_v5.zip, then flashed an alienware boot logo, then flashed the sensor.zip to enable sensors, and all is well?

Where did this alienware boot logo come from?

If you care to, feel free to PM me all the details so I can try to recreate it. I tried all those steps tonight, no dice for me.

So I plugged my charger in and now the sensors aren't working again but they were on for a good 3 to 4 hours without the reboot problem. I flashed the alienware logo from an app called 'boot logo changer'. I'll mess around with my phone and try to get the same results again

I refuse to say it's an "impossible task" but...It is definitely not an easy task and unless someone real smart steps up, it could be awhile.

But hey, at least we can "demo" half-baked D2 Roms on the D2G. (I'm thinking positive here)

This seems really common sense to me, but the global radio will not work with the D2 Roms, correct? We will only have CDMA.

I think he also confirmed that data worked with Romer_v5.

I've been saying all along, it's probably something very obvious that a wise Android Dev could probably solve. Although it does seem like Angdroid is having D2G issues though, so it must not be as easy as we would hope.

At least we know its possible because I had it running perfect with sensors. This would be so much easier if devs did more work with the d2g. Is it possible to recruit devs...
