[ROM Tools] Team Get~R~Done D2G Rom-er Tool - a tool Convert D2 Roms for use on D2G

I am getting in logs of the freezes from the sensors. Anyone NOT on a D2 Rom (one that the sensors are working, like screen orientation?) that can get me a log of you opening and closing your keyboard about 5 times, pushing the power button so that the phone sleeps then wakes about 5 times too?

I need to compare what happens in the broken and working sensor logs.

Thanks,
PM me when you have the logs and I will give you the email to send them to.

Do you want fission or stock? I have back ups of both i can flash back to.

Sent from my Liberated D2G

Either (both?),

Fission might be leaner log files to dig through and could shed some light into how they have the sensors working with a non-stock setup (in terms of log issues).

Don't kill yourself to get them to me tonight, I won't be up much longer. I will take time tomorrow at work to look them over and potentially have some direction or fix.

Thanks guys,

I will look over the logs sent in and the ones you are still sending. Maybe I can come up with the culprit for this reset issue.

One more request for those still making logs... If you could set alogcat to view the raw, that would be great. (settings - format - raw) - If I can catch the issue in that, it will have more insight into what is causing the problem.

I would like the txt files, since that would be too much to decipher in email.

Thanks.

EDIT: I will not need many of them, since they will be REALLY wordy to get through.

Ok, I might have a lead.

I need "/data/misc/" from a working backup when a phone was on a 'good' ROM (stock or Fission) mainly any files with "akmd" to start. This looks like it might be where we are having issues...

Flashed back to stock for ya.... only file in the entire data/misc/ file with akmd is akmd_set.txt. wanf me to email it to you?

Yes please!

I need to look at it to verify settings...

It looks like this file might not be created when we flash a D2 ROM... so if you are ambitious enough to try tonight, flash your D2 ROM of choice (liberty, etc) then try to put that file in "/data/misc". Once you do that, enable sensors.

Crossing my fingers, this SHOULD work...

Well crap...I missed alot...I posted logcats a while back in another thread (Here)...Too late now.

I'll try that.

Buryboi,

I am going off for the night, but what I found is that the rild* and the akmd* files from a working fission/stock setup in the "/Data/Misc" folder don't seem to be recreated for some reason. I see that the akmd2 file is copied over in the D2G_Romer_V5, but it doesn't seem to run.

Potential fixes:
Copy all akmd* and rild* files from a working "/data/misc" folder on stock/fission to setup on a ROM like Liberty. Then run the enable sensors.

OR

If any of these files exist for some reason, delete them, then reboot holding the phone in portait mode, the tall way (system should re-make them and re-calibrate).

Option 1 looks the most promising. If that still fails, logs and then copies of the akmd* and rild* files might be needed (since the system could be overwriting them partially).

Im about to go back to liberty and try this.... sent you the logs you wanted and the files you requested.... ill post results when I have them.

No go :(

But wait...I didn't see the rild thing...trying again.

rild* was on my Samsung Intercept when I had a similar problem... It dealt with sensors... if you can't find it, the D2Gs might not need it.

Empty out the akmd file, but leave it be. Then reboot. See if the system partially fills it. Then log files of the softboot (if it does) might show something.
