[ROM Tools] Team Get~R~Done D2G Rom-er Tool - a tool Convert D2 Roms for use on D2G

No worries, we all had to start the learning somewhere, you keep this up and pretty soon you'll be the expert.

Honestly it's a learning experience for all us D2G guys.

Linux command of the day: If you use the command "ls -l" on a file it will tell you all the permissions as well as if it links to something else.

wilboy...version whaaaaat???

I don't understand the question.

There's a version 5 that automatically disables the sensors.

It's not in the Romer because it is a symlink to toolbox...so upon install, the Romer creates the symlink so it should be there after the install...

Here's one for you guys...in Liberty (and all D2 Roms) there is a gestures.droid2.so, The D2G doesn't have an equivalent file.

So what if the liberty WindowOrientation stuff is related to gestures that arent on the D2G.

Have you given a google on the gestures file?

It might not be the issue, if we replaced all the files that need it...

Yes, I dont find much on it...when I run strings on it, it looks very similar to the d2 sensors file.

Speaking of which, did you guys test v6 and did it function as expected with liberty?

im no dev, or even close to it, but ive been reading along with all of this and doing what i can to try to figure it out on my own. What i gather is that the gesture files just tell your phone which way your finger/stylus is going across the screen so the phone knows which way to scroll or whatever. if the D2G does have gesture files, yet it still understands the gestures, wouldnt there be a different form of gesture files somewhere hidden in the mix? would that maybe not mix well with all the other D2 files that are being throw in with the roms?

Ok...version 6 is now "official".

The old versions are now linked in the changelogs.

Cool!

I have dug through the logs again, nothing big sticks out... no specific names to missing files...

The error in the logs (missing sensors file) makes me think that there is something missing in the system/lib/hw. Are all the files in the Romer V6 system/lib/hw what is in the same folder in stock, or are there more?

I can't get unaffys to work on my Mac, else I would check...
