doh... pushed a few too many framework files... phone now has to be SBF'd and I am somewhat expecting a call >_<
@ wilboy, Bootanimation also pulls from /data/local
Try changing that one. If you delete from /data/local it will default to /system/media
@phoenix, I swapped out frameworks one at a time (adding fissions into liberty). I was almost always able to get back to clockwork when it wouldn't boot as long as it got past the boot logo to the animation.
I pull the battery, wait around 30 seconds, then put the battery back, hold volume down and power till I either get clockwork or boot animation...if that didnt/doesn't work, then...sbf it is.

couldn't get clockwork back up... was hoping to get some fix to run with sensors. Not sure how fission handles it.

I just flashed SS 5.0 GB ROM! Real Smooth! Great Options! Power Controls in the pulldown menu!
The ROM makes my Droid as smooth if not smoother than my D2G. I can’t wait to have a GB ROM for my D2G. I might even turn off the D2G and activate my Droid for a while!

Theres alot more to porting a d1 rom than a d2..... ive been playing around with cm7 trying to get it to even start flashing but no luck so far.

That it is... CM and Bugless Beast would be sweet to have.
That being said, any effort to fixing the D2 -> D2G sensors issue would be great, then we can worry about major platform jumps like D1 ->D2 (anyway, has CM or BB been ported to D2 successfully yet?).

I flashed Liquid the other night...
to get it to flash takes quite a few tweaks to the updater-script...D1 use a Yaffs file system while D2, DX, D2G, and Dpro use ext3. Thus, the mounts need to be changed.
It flashed fine, but...won't boot. Got to the "M" and nothin else.
I am 99% sure this is because a D2G kernel is a lot different than a D1 kernel (especially since many of those roms are built for custom kernels). The D2 kernel is probably "close enough" and that is why the Romer works at all.

So its just finding that healthy balance of D2 customizations to the ROM and the working D2G files to actually run the software, like Romer is almost doing.
D1 has an unlocked bootloader, while I know the D2G ,and assume the D2, have locked bootloaders... Custom kernels would be nice...
I have yet to fully test it, but I think the combo of a D2 ROM and Romer has fixed my SD card issues I was having (something in the stock D2G didn't like me having more than ~4gb of data on my card - causing me to have to pull the battery every time it slept).

I realize that there is a big difference between D1 and D2/D2G. Maybe in my above post I should have and might have stressed the point how cool Ginger Bread is.
I just noticed that the lock screen music player has album art also. And the Power Controls in the pulldown menu.
