[ROM][WIP] Cyanogenmod 11 for G2 VZW

You could flash it. I'd do it myself but I don't have the device near.

Oh I have. Been running it since you moved over here. Was just checking. I already flashed latest build. Those are things I noticed. Was wondering if that is what everyone is noticing or if I am having an issue.

Hey, rhcp011235, thanks! Sent a token of appreciation too: Transaction ID

BTW, my account under the Backup & Reset settings isn't showing as being backed up. Any ideas why? Tried various gapps and deleting/adding the account to no avail.

Thanks a lot. You really need to play around with various gaapps and making sure you fully wipe + flash.

I tried using these with latest build and got constant Phone FC. It was quite a pain logging in and getting to Flashify to boot to recovery.

1. I wouldn't use the above Gapps.
2. Anyone know how to get into recovery via hardware keys? Though I read a way recently but wasn't finding it. Just found out that if you power off, then hold volume down and power till LG logo appears, then release, and quickly press same buttons again, it leads you to screen to factory reset only. Was never able to find out button combo to access recovery. Would be nice to know that if someone could share.
Same here, whenever I reboot my phone I get 3 FC's from PA Gapps. After that it's fine, but it causes the phone to hang for several minutes before I can use it when I reboot it.

Not sure what has changed recently but battery is horrendous on the latest build. According to battery stats android os and system are eating about 30% of my battery!

That is how you get to recovery. When you see factory reset screen hit power button 3 times till it boots into recovery.

I knew I was missing something. Now that makes sense, I will try that next time. Much easier than what I had to go through to get back into recovery.

I just used those same Gapps when I flashed and I've had no problems. Of course I just flashed on a brand new phone so maybe that's why I'm having no problems. As for recovery, once you get into that factory reset screen, you just have to hit the power button three more times and it will take you to recovery.

It would be nice if we had an option to reboot into recovery from the power menu though! Especially since my adb isn't working, the hardware reboot is kinda a pain in the butt.

Thanks for info. Not sure what was issue with Gapps...but phone FC'd constantly. Like every second. I know I had read elsewhere of others having this issue. Can't remember if it was this thread or another?

Any word yet on the ability to have the KitKat phone book and caller ID features? Is it a GApps thing? Or just a function of the phone app that we are missing in these early 4.4 Roms??

I have been told it is a gapps thing...but I have tried the gapps mentions (paranoid gapps) and had no luck. So not sure tbh.

So far so good on 12/1, no more power button reboots and battery seems good to me with BT, GPS and WiFi always on, if not I tend to be in LTE areas. I've streamed podcasts this morning with screen on and Pandora at lunch. My phone is paired with a Pebble 24/7.

Thank you for posting this. Guys, as i have been telling you, Please do a fresh install and use the correct gapps and do not restore /data nor use any type of titanium backup. Just start over if you want it work right. So far, From tests ran by users I know that are doing this have the results posted. no reboots. pretty much everything working.

I still need a tester to test OTG ( I think that is all that remains)

I forgot to mention, I do not restore any apps or data, I just install them all from the Playstore manually. As a side note, I now have a much leaner install.
