[ROM][WIP] Cyanogenmod 11 for G2 VZW

Thank you for posting this. Guys, as i have been telling you, Please do a fresh install and use the correct gapps and do not restore /data nor use any type of titanium backup. Just start over if you want it work right. So far, From tests ran by users I know that are doing this have the results posted. no reboots. pretty much everything working.

I still need a tester to test OTG ( I think that is all that remains)

I do wipe everything and do fresh install of ROM. However, why could we not use Titanium Backup on restore? This is commonly used across many phones and ROMs for years. People don't have hours to set up each apps settings. I wouldn't never flash ROMs without it to be honest. It would end up taking me all day to restore my apps.

Also, I used your PA gapps...constant phone FC over and over. Afraid to try and use those again. Encountered after boot immediately. Was horrible.

Because when you restore using those tools, anything you may have had installed may be killing your battery or eating / or even hurting the install. also, I think is the major issue here. Is using the correct GAPPS. Personally, I am not using the phone myself, since I am doing some stuff on the HTC ONE MAX. so I don't even know what gapps to flash :) Im going by the thread here.

But, NEVER restore data nor use any type of Titanium Backup ( This has been said forever, some will have no issues, some will) Personally, I rather go with NO issues and have a lean install.

I am using the latest Full PA GApps, all of the things I use have worked great thus far.

Ok...as for the Gapps, I've never had issues using Banks Gapps. Found here. I usually use the Standard ones. -Android- Generic Device » BaNkS | Androidfilehost.com | free website & file hosting for Android Developers

What....I've dirty flashed about 4 builds, restore from tibu, and flash other mods and my battery has always been the same as stock or any other build on G2 I've tried. I'm at 20hrs ATM with 3:40 screen time at 37%. LTE last 8 hours, sync always on, HD music from viper4android for about 3 hours, everything on (as I use my phone and don't let it use me). I used a different PA gapps.

From my experience, most battery drains are a user error from an app. Just find the app or process causing it and get to the bottom of it. Rarely is it the ROM or dirty flashing.

Edit. Brightness between 30-80. I'd estimate avg this cycle at 50.

Running well so far. Just randomly reboots during phone calls. Had two so far. Clean install, no ART, gapps from above. Everything else is great though. Good work @rhcp011235.

Many thanks! Still waiting on an OTG test :) I may have to flash my own

Just flash the latest build :) and try OTG :)
Sorry boss, had to travel to Oakland on business.
Backing up now and will be installing the latest version to test OTG. On the 11/27 build you posted, it did recognize that I had an SD card inserted, but it was showing as 0Gb/inaccessible.
Will let you know in a few. :icon_ lala:

Thanks! Ive been too lazy to dig out the phone :)

Last two nights I have noticed when I come back home I'm not connecting to my Wifi automatically, on the latest build. It doesn't even see my Wifi network? I have to restart to get it to work, then it's fine. Unfortunately the last two nights I didn't notice it right away....and have ate through some of my limited data much quicker than usual. :frown:
