[ROM] Zen-MIUI v2 Android 2.2 + MIUI

i tried to run an adb logcat and also tried to do it with the app in market but it doesnt seen to work, only shows the following info, any ideas. trying to see what causes fcs

Two things,

1. Still, has no one found a solution to the force closing MIUI MMS app for me and others?
2. Has anyone figured out how to turn off/remove the dial tones from the MIUI Phone app?

Tried a fresh install of sapphire, then this, MMS still FCs for me

Everything is working minus gps location I need that to work too as I'm a horrible navigator

Did you install over the rom without wipe?? Cuz my gps is fine

I just installed ss4.8 over miui and my accounts are now gone. I wonder if all those people having problems with that have come from ss4.8

If your missing the accounts and sync under settings, there is a fix for that. you have to push a accountandsync.apk from another rom.

Same problem here... I just can't win with this ROM.

When I did a data/cache wipe before installing this ROM, accounts and sync worked perfectly, but dialer force closes and locations don't work.

When I install this ROM over SS4.8, locations and dialer work splendidly, but accounts and sync no longer work. This is a no-go for me because I have 2 gmail accounts that I need access to.

before you give up on the rom flash the galaxy s theme for the rom. it has a fix for the accounts and sync. well worth the 2 mins it takes to install it!

This is a port of Manup456's Galaxy theme for the Miui ROM. This is a them only file so do not wipe before installing. I highly suggest you don't install this until you have your Miui ROM under control and working first. This theme includes fixes for the market (build.prop), the stock Miui SMS app, and the Account syncs fix.

-Open a different MIUI .zip patch file in 7-zip without extracting
-Ignore Meta-INF, open system/app
-delete existing files
-drag accountsandsync.apk into the same folder
-install revised .zip onto SD card
-install .zip in recovery

Sound right?

EDIT: Or I could d/l the theme you're talking about, and deleting everything from /system/app except accountsandsync.apk, then flash. Correct?

just flash the theme. everything will work after that. no need to delete anything.

I understand, but for right now I don't want to theme anything. I think my method will work by editing the theme's .zip file without extracting it and deleting everything except the accountandsyncsettings.apk.

I'm gonna try it now. If it works I'd love to share the .zip I make but I don't have a subscription to a file sharing service. I will post an edit to this post letting you guys know if this works, and if it does maybe someone else can host the .zip.

EDIT: It might be a bit before I try this, I'm playing around with the recovery I made of the install I did after doing a full data/cache wipe. Incredibly, I got locations to work but the dialer still force closes. If I can just fix that I'm good as gold, but I'm not holding my breath.
