Google itself could probably care less. At its core. But that doesn't write off the fact that they have employees, like us that love all this stuff and word got around about a new ROM.

Word of mouth is huge when effective.

Yeah word of mouth is a pretty good way for word to get around. I think I might just have to send a few emails though. I would just hate to have to see this guy go through the same thing that cyanogen did what with the cease and desist Google issued him a while back. Thank God he got around it though.

Best believe they know all about this. They are probably looking at this very closely since patents won't be an immediate issue.

Google trolls through every fourm. They will know if this rom blows up. However I've been curious about the percentage of Android phones that are actually rooted. I think we sometimes get sucked into our own little world here and believe everyone is out rooting their droid and looking for the latest update. When the truth is the vast majority of users could give two sheits about MIUI, Bugless, or UD. In which case we can believe one of two things. One is that google looks through these forums for what is working in our community that they can use for the masses. Or two, that they don't care and we should swallow the google pill the way it is.
I for one don't care what google thinks. As long as people like Koush, Pete, and the rest of the moders are willing to find the holes and share their results I'm happy.

Is anyone else having an issue with switching from Wi-Fi to 3G? When I am on wi-fi and then shut it off, the only way I can get 3G to work is by rebooting my phone. I tried turning on airplane mode and turning it off at that doesn't work. It's not a major issue but I hadn't seen anyone else mention it, and I literally read every post on this thread.

That's the stock dialer cheif. I don't think it has been pulled out yet. That is what's been giving most of the developers headaches

In logic, all we have to do is find out what to extract from an existing ROM to make the phone and fully functional.

The stock dialer already is functional, after install you just need to clear data for contacts storage and googleservicesframework and it will stop force closing. I'm using it now without any issues.

...and, of course, don't install the smoked glass dialer

I seem to keep finding new stuff every time I use this ROM....if you have unread texts, press and hold down on the message icon on the lock-screen to view those that have not been read. Very cool feature.

That also works with missed calls if you hold down on the phone icon.
