[ROM] Zen-MIUI v2 Android 2.2 + MIUI

Where's the damn update? I'm getting impatient. If I don't get this update... I'm gonna have to reprimand all coffee of the world.

All coffee... even the beans...

Loving this rom so far, but has anyone else noticed not all market apps showing up and if I click downloads, it shows nothing? Everything else seems to be working fine. Did not have this problem prior to installing. Coming from shadow rom

go into settings: applications select all up top and clear data for the market app

what exactly does that CPU button do ? My phone was faster too when I pressed it, but in set CPU there was no change in frequency.
The cpu button actually underclocks the cpu...hence the down arrow. using setcpu isn't really required for this ROM.
Weird.

Also, I would just like to say that there are some quirks with this ROM. It has TONS of potential though, and will be great once they are worked out.
For example when I tried to uninstall an app from the settings/manage applications...it reboots my phone during the uninstall process....and the app is not deleted after reboot. Didnt matter what app I was trying to delete....but noticed it with Zedge first.
You can uninstall apps on the home screen. The trashcan is up top and asks if you want to uninstall when you drop the app in the trash.
anyway..I really love how fast this ROM is.

I can't install apps from the market. Keep Getting "Google services Framework (process com.google.process.gapps) has stopped unexpectedly. please try again."

Read through the install directions. You missed a step or two.

EDIT: On a thread this long, there's a good chance your issue has already been addressed. It's a lot to go through but you can't expect us to answer the same question over and over. I wrote the install guide for a reason and it's was posted in big bold letters as the instructions on the original post.

Thanks. working now. I was afraid I was going to have to switch back to a different ROM, but now I can keep it. dancedroid

Thanks...I noticed that after a while. My vision is not the best in the mornings. I wasnt able to see the down arrow till I woke up good. lol. It was blurry..but I figured that the down arrow would mean underclock.

I did install this and used the launcher tha came with the ROM. While in edit mode, I got a text message and it popped up in my screen...and one of the things I love about android is the notification bar. I didnt want to be forced to reply or ignore. Kinda didnt like that, but I guess the notification bar is replaced during edit mode...so its better to get the txt right then rather than delay till I go back to home screen.

Pretty cool ass ROM. Getting used to it now. Felt stupid when I first installed it and did the fixes..etc. Hopefully the *228 feature gets fixed, as well as the sd card and phone storage FC issue in settings *not that I use this one much..I use a diskusage app.

Thanks for the info!

RE: CPU button on notification panel

Personally I get the opposite results of what might be expected with the CPU button. When it is illuminated, I get higher quadrant scores. When it is un-illuminated I get lower quadrant scores. I've tested this several times, so unless my phone is on crack I would expect the same for everyone else.

Am I missing something here? I cant seem to back up my current ROM ( SS 4.8, zenMIUIv2 2.2 + MIUI) Everthing seems to be working just fine and dandy, this rom is smooth and FAST, but just cant back it up CW?

me too...like a difference of 100 on quadrant, just by switching that cpu on.

any observations on battery consumption with cpu lit vs. not lit?

Most likely longer battery life if unlit. I've been keeping mine unlit since that's how I had it before I realized what that button did and I haven't had any complaints with performance + CPU temp has remained cool to the touch.

Mine backs up fine with cw so unsure what prob could be.

I was cruising along with these instructions until I did a data restore with Titanium backup. That seemed to mess up quite a bit. I received a notice that I had new voice mail. I checked the voice mail and there was none. Then the phone app force closed on me and everything was pretty much messed up.

I did a restore to where I was this morning before I started to play with this method of fixing everything. I think the restored data screwed everything up.

Should I try again??

Isn't the definition of insanity doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result?

Sorry to be so hard on you today Marty ;)
