[ROM] [ROM] ZombieStomped 1.7 (.595 D2 GB Motoblur build)

Think might stick with 1.6 for now..

Yea I was gonna install this but I read all about the issues so I'm just gonna stick with 1.65.

The only common issue I'm aware of is the issue w/the Blur Gallery and sound in videos, which is worked around by using free alternates from the market...not that big a deal. That and the disappearing picture/video controls...again, Blur Gallery related.

I'd say that if you're happy w/ZS 1.65 or whatever else you're using, and don't want DLNA support, waiting is fine.

However, this build does run faster/smoother for me than 1.65 did (which is very nice, as 1.65 ran well for me) so the upgrade to 1.7 has been good for me. :)

Camera and camcorder don't work for me. When I press the camera button it force closes and says "Oops, cannot switch landscape/portrait mode; please restart camera." I've tried rebooting but it didn't help. I did a clean install.

Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Edit: It does the same thing if I click on the camera and camcorder shortcut.

i have the same problem as well

Me too, was gonna send an MMS to someone but it doesn't work :((

Used the camera and camcorder today w/out issues...did you follow the instructions to wipe twice during install, or ?

You might try clearing data for the camera and camcorder in Applications>Manage Applications>All Apps

Camera and Camcorder are working fine for me.

1.65 > wipe cache/dalvik > rom > wipe cache/dalvik > data > keyboard fix

I do have the no audio issue in Netflix.

Keep at it JB - this thing is amazingly fast and stable compared to 1.65

I was trying to freeze some of the stuff that I don't use with Titanium, there is something that I freeze that messes up the dialer and I cannot figure out what it is....is anyone else tried to delete/freeze anything and had any issues with dialer?

Yeah, I followed instructions and there is no data to clear out under settings.

The issue isn't w/Netflix, it's w/the Blur Gallery killing audio...I've been playing Netflix videos today and audio is fine, as long as you haven't used the Blur Gallery to view a video.

I've been using QuickPics and Fish Bowl Photo gallery replacements. Fish Bowl is a really cool Gallery replacement with some nifty UI features...really worth a look even if the Blur Gallery was working fine w/videos. :) Check it out.

Two video players I like are Mobo Player and Act 1 Video player...been fun looking at options, actually. And agree, 1.7 has delivered an even better level of speed and stability...kudos to Jake.

Do you have any other camera apps installed? Maybe try removing them if you do and rebooting.

You can also boot into CW Recovery and wipe cache, and Dalvik Cache and see if that helps.

If those don't help, if I were you, I'd go through the install again, doing all wipes as noted in the opening post. Can't hurt, might help set some bytes straight that got skewed during the first install.

Another possibility is something on the SD card is causing a problem - you can confirm that by swapping w/someone else or putting in another car if you have one available...I had severe random rebooting/stability issues w/my OG Droid that were resolved by reformatting my SD card...the problems did not appear until I upgraded to Froyo, things worked fine on the previous OS release...

In the customizer the "Set Pulldown Text" is to change the text that's at the top of the notifications, right?
If it is, whenever I try and change it it just stays blank(I'm flashed to MetroPCS, so it has never said "Verizon Wireless" up at the top) it's never said anything unless it was changed in the rom I was using.

Any ideas?

I used the Blur Gallery to view pictures only and had the audio loss. I mention to clarify that it wasn't just using blur gallery to view a video that caused it.

Do the video players you mentioned work for video from apps like netflix and youtube as well as personal videos?

This is why I love this OS - something messed up? Get a different app. dancedroid

Use the Youtube player app for youtube videos, and the netflix app to play netflix videos, neither of them have any issues. Use the alternative galleries/video players for videos created/stored on the phone, as opposed to streamed (which require the Youtube and Netflix apps).

Did you apply a theme after setting the text in the Customizer? Each theme resets this option. Also I set mine to display the banner for roaming too, just to be safe, and my custom text has remained on my lock screen and in the notification blind since I set it after setting my them.

On an unrelated note, getting back to the audio issues people are having, I wonder if CVPCS is on the right track with his forthcoming CM4DX mod, where he is rewriting the audiolib for the Droid X/2 since it's causing him major problems thanks to Motorola's A2DP ****:

might hint at where the problem lies at least...

I've kept it on the default theme, and I have had the Roaming Banner option checked off to display also. It's not showing up at all, i've tried everything I can think of, though I may try choosing a theme and then try it again to see if that helps.
