i'm having the most difficult time with my phone yesterday and today dude my battery died through the process of updating to rubix, i had 50% its at 0% right now not sure if it finished and died after or what as I wasn't infront of the phone. Ive been running or had been running leaked 2.2 since it was released. and been through most roms that have come out since other than tranq. this has been the only time this has happened to me. haha fail

I believe the ROM was designed for the OTA 2.2 not the leaked...just a speculation but this could be the issue

yea for the few days i had this running it was great then i must have had like 10 reboots in one day

I believe the ROM was designed for the OTA 2.2 not the leaked...just a speculation but this could be the issue

The ROM runs fine with both bootloaders, basebands, etc. We don't know the difference between the leaked 2.3.15, and the OTA, but the differences do not seem to affect stability, or issues like this. I have seen reports of battery weirdness from both people that have, and have not updated their baseband/bootloader.

I've never run the OTA update, so my baseband/etc. are still not updated.. and I've had ZERO problems with focused 1.x, no reboots, no battery issues, etc.
The ROM is a full build of the Moto DroidX SDK, which contains no blur. It has nothing to do with what what you installed it from.. it formats /system first, and installs there.

If you're having issues, and I was a betting man, I'd give it 100 to 1 odds, that the issues came AFTER the install.
Pretty much every issue I've seen on the forums comes from something installed, restored, changed, modded, whatever AFTER the ROM was installed.

Things to check:
--Theme/BarMod/OtherMod (LCD Density comes to mind, if you want reboots, change your LCD Density)?
--Overclocking/Undervolting?
--Did you restore data from a backup program (especially Titanium)?
--Did you make sure to clear data/cache when you installed?
--Are you trying to run any task killer/battery manager etc. type apps?
--Anything else that you may have changed/modded/installed that could affect the framework?

Of all the issues/complaints on this ROM, those sum up almost everything. There ARE a few known issues, such as:
UNOFFICIAL Known Issues – Focused 1.6 -- sephtin.com

There are also some reported issues that can't be replicated (no one can provide steps that can recreate the issue every time), including weird battery life problems, etc.

Anything done/changed in the last couple days? Decided to try changing LCD Density, or oveclocking/undervolting, or ??

No worries, and I can understand the confusion.. I just don't want something like that to start driving people to OTA'ing unnecessarily... There haven't been any known benefits (or otherwise) to going one way or the other, and this ROM is no exception.. *shrug*

You've been a great help on the boards, and your feedback is appreciated by many, I don't mean to take away... I just wanted to clear that particular issue up.

Replying to my own post:

After 24 hours with out a charge, I woke up with my battery at %50.

I totaled up my phone call talk time since last charge - 28 minutes.
Total sms texts - 35
Used Google Listen for about an hour total.
Some moderate use (10 - 15 min) of Angry Birds.

I can't say enough about this ROM and underclocking. Again, I really did not notice any performance gain when I was overclocking to 1.2GHz.

man I wish i could get this kinda battery life...im thinken my battery might be bad

I had the phone unplugged for 10 hours and I was at 20 percent....my use was about the same as yours

Are you running any widgets or task killers? The only widgets I run are Beautiful Widgets home and Gauge Batter Widget.

Also, I almost never use WiFi (just for big downloads) . Even at work or home I leave it on 3G. I leave GPS on also.

Check your cell signal I get three out of four bars at work and home. If you only have one, it can really suck battery.

Hey does it matter if u use the droidx/2 overclocking app or the cpu.sh? I want to tryout the ULV 1.0 as well. and do u mean 1000000,800000,500000,350000. I believe in one of your posts, u are missing a 0 from each number. Also do u use any apps like minfreemanager?
