rubiX Focused 2.0.1: UPDATED

MOD/ROM Verision?

any particular reason why the MOD/Rom Version under settings/about phone says "unknown"? just curious.

great rom btw.

Two questions.

How do I get the moto blurr gallery.

I have noticed that 2.0 seems to be a bit slower for me then 1.9.7. I noticed it when going scrolling through my desktop screens. It doesn't have the quickness it had with the old vertion, or is it just me. I have done nothing with the new governors.

Quick question: First of all I am new to this site and flashing ROMs. I have flashed Liberty, Apex, GummyJar, and now Rubix. On gummyjar and Rubix 2.0 I do not see a toolbox or Terminal Emulator in my apps. What have I done wrong or what is the next step? Also I was wondering where to find the themes and stuff for this ROM.

Not a biggie, but for those who want the scripts info from 1.9.7 which is still present in 2.0, here is the list:

SCRIPTS: Credit to Fabulous, JRummy, Sephtin and myself.
adblock: block or view ads
apps: run the script for directions. If you choose restore, you must reboot after for it to take effect
backup: backs up all of your user apps. backup -bk is the correct way to run the script
calc: remove/restore the calculator
carhome: remove/restore the car home launcher
dxeye: remove/restore the DX LWP Please note that this is removed by default, and placed in /data/rubix run the script to restore.
email: remove/restore the email app
fixperm: fixes permissions (credit Koush)
gallery: switches between the 2D (credit to Cyanogen) and 3D AOSP Gallery
genie: remove/restore the news/weather app
office: remove/restore QuickOffice: Please note that this is removed by default, and placed in /data/rubix run the script to restore.
sys: write the system read/only (-ro) or read/write (-rw)
zipalign_apks: zipaligns all the apps in system. Unnecessary since this is ran on every boot!

Im not sure why exactly but my battery life has improved drastically today over yesterday. I take my phone off the charger at 645 a.m. Yesterday after 8 hours i was already down to 60% Today im at 80% after 8 and used more data/texting/calls. And im oc'd today and only was for a few hours yesterday. The only thing ive done is flashed plowers .zip fix. Not saying that is behind better battery life just that its the only thing changed...

What do you guys think about my battery life? After 8.5 - 9 hours of moderate use with a motorola ext battery, I'm sitting at 30%. No phone calls usually, mild texting, internet, twitter, a little facebook.
I'm rooted stock but I'm gonna put a rom on. Just need to be sure of the rom.

How is everyone liking this compared to other roms? Had rubix at the first release of focused and loved it, but since then have been a rom whore. Really liked apex and liberty, but this is next! What's everyone else's opinion?

I can't download. It just reloads the page in mediafire. Any other places to download?

Hey mcp770! How do you remove the clock? What tweaks do you do?

I use THIS to remove the clock from the status bar because I use the HTC like clock with weather via Beautiful Widgets. Other than that I undervolt my cpu using dx overclock app by jrummy, using ULV 1.150 which is all my new X likes unfortunately. Jrummy also updated the app to support the new scaling governors and I like conservative so far. Other than that I used to change the sysctl settings to those posted HERE but Drod has these set pretty sweet this go around so no need. Then its just a matter of the occasional theme changes and tuning. Hope this helps!

No toolbox with Rubix....yet??? Terminal emulator I had to download from market free. As for themes you have to do it the old fashioned way on Rubix and look for them on the forums. All 1.9.7 themes work fine. Not as easy as Liberty but seems faster and has great battery life so fair trade imo.

I too have been a rom fanatic lately for some reason. I always consider Drod to have the tightest work in the end. You can always be sure that under the hood you have some of the cleanest most efficient coding available as he just works his ass of to make it that way or patch it quickly. The biggest selling point for me though has always been Drod's relationship with the end users. This guy really seems to read every post and answers what he can. On another note I really, really like the ease of use provided by the Liberty rom and its toolbox. You can literally toss out half a dozen OC and tweaking apps with all the stuff built into it. All the other roms are just plain too buggy, blurry, themed, or just plain wonky for me. Rubix easily #1 but a little tech smarts required. Liberty #2 a little bigger footprint size wise but ease of tweaking is bar none.

If Drod ever decides to make a toolbox like Liberty this rom will eclipse all others overnight.
