It's that time again folks! Now that we have the Note 8 in our hands it's time to start speculating about the next Samsung flagship the Galaxy S9. A new report suggest that Samsung may have claimed the first batch of the Snapdragon 845 processors. Samsung had a similar arrangement for the Galaxy S8. Being the manufacturer of the chip they were allowed to keep the first batch for themselves. This crippled the rest of the market. LG had to settle for the Snapdragon 821, and HTC suffered the same fate with their spring flagship the HTC U Ultra.
All indications lead to the fact that Samsung will be manufacturing the new 845 chip. This means the Galaxy S9 and S9+ will be the first devices with the chip. If this happens other OEMs will either have to push back their spring releases or settle for the Snapdragon 845 processor in their next devices. Other rumors indicate the phone will be released as early as January. For now these rumors should be taken with a grain of salt.
