They got the new snapdragons overclocked to 1.9 ghz. Like the ones in the g2 and desire hd.

1ghz may be fine for most people now, but as apps get more involved you're going to need that speed, just as you did on PC's.

Would be nice to see them bumping the ram more to go along with the capability of the processors. I mean, I had a pretty good laptop just 3 years ago with 2 gigs of ram and 1.8ghz.
