Seeing is believing..October 6th?

Either is a waste of money. So much better out there.

The Beats branding has turned me off of HTC phones. Unless, that is, Beats is something besides a name, which I strongly doubt.

This seems pointless to me. So you get free headphones with your phone? So? Throw them away if you don't want them. Unless they raise their starting price to $400 because of it... I don't see a reason worth complaining.

But that is exactly my fear - that it will raise the price of their end products... maybe not $400, but I would say even $50 tacked on is to much.

I don't see it pushing beyond the $350 the Charge opened for. And to be honest... it looks the the Vigor is going to be a big step up from the Charge.

Why wasn't the Bionic $350 then? I can't believe the Charge was that much when it first came out. I hope the Vigor/Rezound is only $299.

If $350 is the 2 year contract price on a sub-$625 "off contract phone", I would seriously consider going off contract if I were going to buy the phone a launch. The amount of cost the VZW is subsidizing is starting to become to small to lock myself in for another 2 years.

The Bionic was late to the party in terms of specs. No way it could demand that price; especially with the next gen phones RIGHT around the corner. The Charge was the first 4G "Droid" and really a failure at the $350 range. I would hope the Vigor comes out at the same $299 we have grown used to.

That's a years worth of data plan they are knocking off the price. I don't like to play the jump around from carrier to carrier game though. So for me, I'll stick with the $300+ discount.

I really want the Vigor/Resound, but if they are going to jack it up to $350 because they throw in ear buds, I might go buy the Bionic. Verizon needs to stop raising prices.

That is true... I guess it isn't that I have any intention to jump carriers, because I really don't... but I just like to know that I could if I wanted to. I don't know, maybe it is because I hope VZW would treat me a little better knowing I can walk with no ETF (not that they have ever treated me wrong... except when my touch screen went out after I was out of warranty but still had 7 months of contract left and they said "tough cookies") or maybe I am just wanting to save my last NE2 and upgrade for the amazing phone that comes out in a few months and gives me buyer's remorse... I don't know why I consider buying off contract an option when I have no intention of jumping to another carrier.

Not to mention for the ~$300 discount you could break your contract. Which would be the same as buying off contract and paying double for the phone. I don't know. I have friends who bounce around depending on what phone they like. But in my mind they're throwing money away.

Would I pay $50 for ear buds? Probably not.

Would I pay $350 for the Vigor? Possibly.

Sadly, I use I*hone ear buds, they sound incredible and fit in my ear perfectly without causing that ear ache that others seem to cause.

If the phone is stellar, I'll buy it. Right now it looks like a great phone, I can't say I love the design, but my brother has a D Inc2 and it is a very nice phone for it's price.

Although, if we get to see the Prime and it looks anything like the GSII, I'm waiting. It's too sexy.

I don't have the mind of a normal consumer, so it's tough to think how they think, but I can't imagine anyone who would want the "Vigor" would even think about buying a rehashed Iphone, so it shouldn't matter.

I don't think it will matter for sales either way, people will go in who've been looking for a phone and see the 4S and think, it looks just like the old one and if they like the Vigor, they'll go with that instead.

Hoping for some info tomorrow or Friday. The Nexus news is great and everything.. but I want a dose of Vigor also!

Still not announced...come on HTC. You have all the big press events and release mediocre phones.
