Seidio 2600mAh extended battery

Why not just buy a regular motorola replacement battery and charge them both and have the other as a spare when the first one dies? That way your droids size is not altered.

Or buy the slimline that will not add thickness and use the standard as backup.

Hopefully you will be where your extra battery is at when it goes dead! Ladies can throw it in a purse but a billfold would not be good!

I could leave mine in my car... thats never too far.

I don't mind the way it looks, but I'm concerned about it still being able to fit into the car dock, multimedia dock, or other docks -- not being able to fit would be a deal-breaker for me.

At any rate, I've never gone below 30% battery and that's gotten better since the 2.0.1 update so I might not even need an extended battery. I haven't even needed to use my spare battery yet. Maybe when one of the batteries goes, I'll spring for the slim one for the extra life.

I had the slim extended for my Storm and it was awesome! I definitely will be getting one for my Droid and my hubby's as well.

Is your hubby in need of extended power as well, since what you've said leads us to believe that the battery would be for him rather then his droid.

The Seido webpage now states the slim battery is a "replacement" battery, not "extended" battery. Does this mean that there is no longer going to be a slim extended?

if it fits in their case for the droid, perhaps i will be interested.

if it does not, most likely no.

Hello Jay,

Thank you for your interest in our products! We will be two different kinds of batteries -- Slim Extended that fit in the original battery compartment and offers more power than the OEM one, or Extended that requires a separate battery door (included) that will give you nearly double the capacity.

The Slim Extended will fit our current Innocase, and we are currently developing a Innocase Surface Extended that will fit the Extended Battery.

Please stay tuned or check our site for latest updates!
im hoping the slim extended will be bigger then the storms battery maybe have or get it up to 1800:icon_ banana:

Unfortunately it sounds like that. The stock battery is 1400 mAh, the Seido is 1350 mAh.

Innocell Slim Replacement Battery

So the only reason I could see me buying that battery is if it is $10 or $20 less than the Verizon battery. That is a disappointment. At least I know what the performance of the 1400 mAh Verizon battery is.

+1 Same concerns here.
I was looking forward to the slim extended, but apparently that's not happening now?
The slim replacement is also a non-starter, even if it's cheaper than the VZ branded one. Purchasing any battery that provides less capacity than stock for the power hungry Droid just doesn't make sense.
Looks like I'll be picking up a spare 1400 mAh from VZ.

I wonder if they had concerns about people buying the extended slim and using the stock battery as a backup instead of buying the 2600mah extended?

I hope thats not the case... giving varietyl is always the best way to not only keep competition from creeping in but hit a broader market.

The extended battery will be good solution for people that use for Lots of TV viewing or similiar, but lets face it..... having a slim phone has been a priority in the business world as well as young adult world for quite a while now.... no one ways a big bulge in thier pocket and few tolerate carrying it on a belt.

That was a bad decision and it may knock total sales way down.... why buy a replacement with a smaller AH rating... even if its cheaper.. who cares?... we need AH capacity!.... thats a priority and no ones going to sweat 10.00 bucks to take less.

Now the only choice is.. can you tolerate the big bump or just keep a backup handy for a total of 2800mah capacity?.....

If you have a case, its a hassle changing out batteries with some.... if not.. no biggy!

When they come out with a cover that works with the extended, I'll probrably order the extended battery... until then, I hate to leave my phone vulnerable to scratches and scuffs.

"Innocell Slim Extended Life Battery" is currently listed on their site as coming soon in addition to the Innocell 1350mAh Slim Replacement Battery and Innocell 2600mAh Extended Life Battery.
