Seidio Case

Someone stated that when they dropped their phone with the case on, the top cover popped off but there was no damage to the phone.

The case feels really nice and looks like they spent a decent amount of time putting it together. There are slight indentations over the power button area, charger port, and volume rocker. The only issue is that if you use the physical keyboard then you might want to look elsewhere. The top piece of the case slightly obstructs your thumbs from the top row of keys. If you have large thumbs then you really won't like it.

Good to know! Thanks for the feedback...how much "bulk" would you say it adds to the phone? The VZW one is quite bulky and I don't like the feel of it.

The bulk not so much, but I do have the hardest time pressing the keys at the top. I took it off since then, I might sell it.

I'm considering ordering the Seidio case, but would like to know if it's durable enough to withstand daily removal from the phone. I have the multimedia and car docks, and understand my Droid will probably not fit in the docks with this case on.

I'm currently using the shell/holster combo that Verizon sells. I'm OK with it, but a tab on the case broke off after a few nights of removing the case, and mornings of putting the case back on. Because of that, the top part of the case (upper left corner of the part around the screen) no longer clips on.

Of course, I'd rather not spend the extra money on the Seidio docks when the docks I have work well, other than having to have a naked phone to use them. I'd also hate to spend that kind of money on a case that's liable to break after a few daily cycles of placement and removal.

You really don't want to be removing/replacing this case every day. It'll eventually wear out and get lose I would imagine.

How is this compared to the Body Glove and the Verizon Silicon Case? I'd like to get a silicon case instead of a hard plastic case unless I know for sure it's a really good one that can withstand a drop or two..

I have the Sedio case now and it is way better then the Verizon Silicon Case (which I will be returning I might add).
It is more streamline and feels way better.
Correct openings for the volume and camera buttons with full cutouts on the back for the speaker and camera.
The bulk is greatly reduced.
Quality product, albeit more expensive.

Alright guys, do to the responses I've read on this forum about this case, I went ahead and just bought it right now (anyone know how long will it be if I chose the standard free shipping?)

I was skeptical at first and was about to go to the Verizon store and buy the silicon one, but I held off in hopes that this is much better. When I receive it, I'll post the review.

thanks WakBak, I'll be getting one soon! Can't wait!

most honest opinion!

i don't work for seidio and i don't worship their product...
i'll give 3.5 out of 5 for their case.. -1point: once you take their case off after awhile sliding mechanism will be loose that we will have to have their case to keep them tight.... but still better than any..on the market so far.... -0.5pont: i'll balme motolora...

Got my case today and WOW. The bulk is GREATLY reduced over the crappy body glove case. The case is VERY light. Also, I have ZERO problems with opening and closing the slider. It opens the exact same with the case on as with it off. Some people have mentioned they have problems with the top row of keys, but let me tell you I have big hands and thumbs and it is slightly and I mean slightly noticeable. I can still type very fast with the case on. The texture on it is smooth but at the same time provides more grip than with the case on. Thoroughly impressed. Well worth the extra money and I am one who usually does not spend a lot money on accessories.

I really like the Seidio case so far however after only using it for 2 days the top cover tends to want to pop off anytime I go to slide the screen open or closed.

Probably going to end up returning it.

This case looks great and I am considering buying it, but I have a couple of questions:

I have the Body Glove case now and I don't care that much about the extra bulk as long as the phone is somewhat protected. I have dropped the phone a couple of times already and the phone is fine but I the front of the Body Glove case broke so I need a new case.

Does the Seido Case appear to offer some impact protection? Or is the case just designed to keep the phone from getting scuffed.

Is the front piece sturdy? The Body Glove front piece feels pretty flimsy.

Some close-ups of the Seido case. Note that I rubbed off the white/silver logo on the back. Some of the letters were printed poorly and I like the case better all black.

Droid Case....

Check out the Sena Ultraslim, very cool, I have one for my Omnia and my Voyager. Really nice quality, if you a really slim pocket case for your phone...

Okay. Got mine. Like the feel. But, is it just me (or my case) or does the bottom lip of the case that outlines the face of the Droid, pop off incredibly easy? Am I installing it incorrectly?
