Seidio Case

This case looks great and I am considering buying it, but I have a couple of questions:

I have the Body Glove case now and I don't care that much about the extra bulk as long as the phone is somewhat protected. I have dropped the phone a couple of times already and the phone is fine but I the front of the Body Glove case broke so I need a new case.

Does the Seido Case appear to offer some impact protection? Or is the case just designed to keep the phone from getting scuffed.

Is the front piece sturdy? The Body Glove front piece feels pretty flimsy.

Thankfully I can't vouch for the strength of the case to withstand falls and hope to never be able to, but I can tell you it seems pretty sturdy. Also the top piece seems ALOT sturdier than the body glove one. I totally know exactly what you are talking about, I thought that piece was really flimsy.

I am rather OCD about my expensive electronics, but I have never been a fan of phone cases because I carry my phone in my front pocket and I hate having extra bulk in my pockets. I had an unprotected (i.e. no case) Moto Razr phone for the past two years while my family had protected phones. By the time two years were over, my phone was in better condition than their phones!

So knowing that I hate extra bulk and that I can count on myself to keep very good care of my phone, I battled for a while with whether or not I wanted a case. I eventually figured that if I am going to be using it as an mp3, gps, and camera, I better get some sort of protection on it - one bad drop and the multitude of scratches that would be sure to follow would drive me crazy.

I did a lot of research and decided to go with the Seidio Innocase after hearing such high praises for it in numerous forums. I received it in the mail yesterday (shipped in two days with Fedex), and I must say, I am VERY impressed. I would have no problem tearing it off if I didn't like it and validating my previous thoughts of disliking cases, but I won't be doing that with this case.

It feels very durable. It hugs the phone like a glove and the cut outs for the camera, back speaker, and buttons are all very precise. It adds very little bulk, which is probably the thing I like most about it. Negligible width and weight is added. After slipping it into my pockets this morning for the first time, I could tell it was a little thicker...but just barely. I also like how low profile it is. The black color and the fact that it fits the phone so well make it appear as if there isn't even a case on there. I have also found that the phone slides just as well as it did before. You do lose a little bit of the extra room above the top row of keys, but the actual keys are not obstructed or covered in any way. It makes it a little tougher to hit that top row quickly, but ultimately it doesn't impact your ability to actually be able to make solid contact with those keys.

My mom and dad already had cases for both of their phones, and my dad knows how much I dislike cases, so he was a little surprised when I told him I was ordering one. Suffice to say, I showed him my case last night and told him that I am actually happy with my purchase. He looked over it, and liked it so much that he ended up buying Seidio cases for his phone and my mom's phone too! (Both of which are non-Droid phones).

Also, as an aside, I have noticed representatives from Seidio post on forums multiple times offering to assist customers who have been unhappy with their purchase or received defective units. All too often I have purchased relatively expensive items that fell well below my expectations and then customer service was non-existent if I had a complaint. It's obvious Seidio really believes that have an A+ product and they are willing to stand behind it with their customer service. I get the impression that they genuinely want you to be happy with your purchase. They have the type of customer service and quality product that I felt compelled to take the time to write this lengthy review - to me, that's really saying something.

Hey, I thought the exact thing when I first purchased mine, so don't worry. To me, $30+ is a lot of money for a simple phone case. But the way I looked at it was: I can buy this high quality case that everyone is talking about, and hopefully like it enough that I can stick with it, or I can purchase multiple $15-20 cases because I'm not happy with their quality.

I figured I would give the high quality one a shot, and if I didn't like it I probably would end up not liking any case at all. Plus, Seidio seemed to be really good about taking returns, so there wasn't much risk in at least trying it out.

I am either getting the spring holster for just the phone so I can use the docks without taking off the case, Or the case holster combo. Is the case easy to remove? Dont know what I should do.

Just bought my sedio innocase cover and the ultimate guards for screen protection.

Can't wait..i get them friday!

Funny I don't get my droid til thursday lol

[ordered my case and screen protector before i even ordered the phone...lol :)]

Don't hold your breath on that one. I ordered mine the morning of Dec 4th and it looks like I am not going to get it until the end of the week. I should have paid for quicker shipping!

That sucks. Did they ever give you a confirmation email that it was being shipped? Cause I just got one from them right now saying it's been shipped via First Class Mail. Also where are you located?

thanks for the pics and feedback/reviews guys. I was on the edge as for what to get holster vs glove vs case but after reading this thread im gunning for the seido innocase....once i get the money that is :) time to hustle:greendroid:

I pulled the trigger last night on the Innocase and Holster combo. I loved the Seidio holster I had for my i760 and am hoping the combo gives me all that I want. I currently have an Invisible Shield on the Droid with the Verizon "Seidio style" holster and while I like the form factor, I'm afraid of the phone getting beat up. There's already one nice mark on the Invisible Shield from banging against something. I think the Innocase and Holster should do me just fine.

I really like the Seidio case so far however after only using it for 2 days the top cover tends to want to pop off anytime I go to slide the screen open or closed.

Probably going to end up returning it.

Hello,

Thank you for your support and we are sorry about your experience. Please PM me your order information and I will be more than happy to see what we can do for you!

Regards,

I received confirmation that my Innocase and holster combo were shipping on Monday of this week. I placed my order on Monday, December 7th. I just wanted to give everyone an idea of what to expect if they are ordering right now.

Can anyone confirm that the holster is lined with a soft material (similar to the lining of the Body Glove case)? I bought the Body Glove and loved the lining, but it was just too thick and bulky. I bought the Verizon shell/holster combo and loved it, but missed the soft lining and hate that one of the corners doesn't snap on correctly. I am hoping this Seidio combo will be the best of both worlds.
