Seidio Case

Defective case also!

Got my Innocase and my belt clip just a bit ago. I got the Sapphire (Blue) and absolutely love the looks of it. The above comment that the case won't photograph well is probably correct.

Sadly, my case is defective. The clips on the bottom of the case (near the microphone hole) don't extend out deep enough to grasp the phone. Looks like a manufactures defect. Anyways, I called tech support and supposely they are going to send me a new case with a calltag to return the old one.

I purchased this overpriced case from Seidio because of their customer service (I love that they have a rep surf this board), so now I get to see if my extra money was well spent. I won't be tickled if it takes another week for me to get a replacement.

I just got an amethyst colored (purple) one for my daughter and had exactly the same problem with the lower clips on the top part of the case. PITA! I will call them and hopefully they will get a replacement ASAP.

My Droid runs naked.

Please PM me your order #, we will take care of this tomorrow

Sorry about the problem

Seidio

I received my case today in autumn gold. Love the color and the fit. Doesn't hinder the slider function at all. Well done Seidio, I thought the search for a decent Droid case was useless.

My Innocase and holster arrived tonight. Not much I can add other than to agree with all the other positive comments. Very nice case that doesn't add any noticeable bulk and feels good in the hand. The holster is well made. The spring holding the Droid in isn't as strong as my last flip phone but that phone was a PITA to remove.

This is my first time buying Seidio products but it won't be the last. Good stuff!

I get my tomorrow. Looking forward to it.
My case just arrived in-state and went through the local sorting facility. Looks like I might be getting mine tomorrow too!

And man, am I glad I ordered when I did. 10% off, and I got the free shipping before Seidio removed it. Phew! :icon_eek:

I just got my Sapphire Blue case today, and I must say that it is BEAUTIFUL. I'm very glad that I went with this color. The fit is great, but I do have the problem of the bottom clips of the front piece rubbing against the phone when sliding it open  I'm wondering if exchanging it will make a difference (I'm worried that every case will be like this) or if I should just take my Dremel to it...I worry because I had this exact same problem with my Seidio case for my XV6800 (HTC Titan). I sanded the clips down on that one (although much more than I would need to for the Droid case), only to have them break on me after about a month because they were too thin.

Curious, the clips on mine (Ash Grey) are so thin and short I don't think there's any way to sand them and retain functionality. But then again it's not rubbing in anyway when I open it either. I will say that, at least on the one I received the tolerances are amazing. It is a very tight and accurate fit (very even spacing all around) w/o being excessive like some of the other cases (I know the BodyGlove especially is supposed to be too tight).

Personally I would say try to get it exchanged before you try to mod it yourself. Would suck to have them break and then be out $$. Can you post a pic or two of the Blue, I really wanted to get that but didn't like the way it looked on their site (and from my understanding several of the cases look much better than they are represented).

Here are a few pics. I tried to get the lighting right to accurately represent the color. As others have said, it's definitely iridescent.

(And before anybody notices and says "OMGWTF?", yes, my screen seems a bit funky near the earpiece...that's because I'm using a crappy, chopped up iPod screen protector that a friend had while I wait for SGP to get more of their screen protectors in stock)

Wow, that looks nice. If I ever have to get another one I think it will be the blue. They Grey is nice but it's a bit plain. Should have stuck with my first pick. It's def nicer than what's represented on the site pics.

I do notice some area that don't look like they fit as well as with mine (over the camera and volume buttons). I would still suggest you try to get a replacement to see if the clips fit better. The clips on the bottom part seem more pronounced as well. These are mass produced so I'm not faulting them, just observing.

even replacement doesn't fit

neither of the 2 cases i ordered (one for me, one for my son) fits properly - the bottom corner on the front piece wouldn't stay down. i was very impressed with the online support chat system and a replacement for one (silly to do both until confident it was worth it) was sent out immediately. unfortunately, it has exactly the same problem. since i was promised that it would be tested before shipping, i can only assume that there is a variation in the phones..? i am disapointed for the reduced protection without the front bevel piece, but we will continue to use the back pieces on our phones until we come across a better fitting alternative, i guess.

Yeah I wonder if your phones have a variance, as my seidio fits so well I really couldn't believe it. Make sure once you get the clips in place you give it a good push against the phone, then do it on the opposite side as well.

edit: Just thought of something, anyone who's having trouble with the front bezel staying on, is this your first case you've had on your droid? I wonder if the rest of us using other cases with larger clips have given us the perfect amount of space for the seidio clips to clip right in.
