Yup and I've heard a few others with the very same issue. Sadly its not a light scratch on my phone. The clip on the top piece dug into my phone and its more like a gash than a scratch now.

i never really paid a lot of mind before to this, but the more i look at it, and think about the amount of effort i put into cleaning my phone each week, the more it's agitating me.

I hear ya J-Buck!! I have the innocase and my Droid is a day old. I have taken the case on and off twice and cant decide to go with it or without it! I like to keep my phones nice and also carry in my pocket but I never put it in my pocket with keys or change! I switched from the curve 8330 and after 1.5 years the curve is still mint! I also think that cases kinda take away from the look of the phone and make them more bulky. Besides by the time my Droid is beat i will be upgrading again! lol

I dropped my Droid for the first time (had it since December) and my Seidio Innocase saved it. Now the case has a ding, but at least the Droid doesn't.
One thing I've noticed since I've had the case is that the phone slides partially open in my pocket frequently.

someone said in a past post that the inside of the case has some sort of felt lining that protects the phone from scratches and such? can anyone confirm this or provide a link? i went to the seidio website and the cases don't seem to really have any felt lining of any sort.

The holster had a felt lining. Not the case itself.
oh ok, thanks for clarifying that. it seems like the case does damage the phone slighty though when you snap it on. probably just stick with the screen protector then. thanks

I haven't noticed any damage from the case.
i was responding to these comments. but you found zero scratch marks on your phone after removing the cases and such?

I have a Seidio case and it is awesome. I bought one from Verizon (Verizon brand) and it was twice the thickness (2 mill) of the Seidio. It has a really nice "velvetity" feel to it. Couldn't be more satisfied.
yea the outside of the case wasn't what i was concerned about. i was hoping there was a soft layer between the phone and the case so there wouldn't be any scratch marks on the phone.
amazon has it for $19.12 with free shipping if you add some filler to get to $25, like screen protectors. pretty good deal so i think imma try it out.

yea i saw that case as well. not a big fan of the huge otter logo on the back. maybe ill try them out when they get some new designs.
i don't think they will change the logo size, but u never kno ....
ultimately it is better protection, and it doesn't scratch the phone like the innocase did ...
