Seidio Case

i do like the otterbox, it seems like a very good case. the rubber layer between the case and phone is a nice feature. screw it, i'll just pick up both and see which one i like better. i do hope they come out with other designs in the future though. just keeping that back part without any logo would be fine by me.

now that i think about it, i'm going to be keeping my phone in my pocket. is the innocase easy to slip in and out of your pockets or does it drag slightly while coming out? i'm assuming the otterbox is smooth?

Any group buys or current discounts for droid forum members?
Me wants but need to save $$
Another ? says it charges in mutimedia mode. Can it charge in night sleep mode as well like the moto dock?

otterbox is smoother. thats something i like about the innocase (the texture), although the texture isnt rubbery enough to keep it drom sliding off a surface in the car.

the otterbox will slide into pockets really easy but the rubber portions will accumulate lint ...

question: on the back of the screen, there is a thin plastic sticker layer (came that way new), is that meant to be removed or kept on ?
i left it on ...

lol you're probably supposed to take it off. And to your previous post, I think the small amount of lint collecting on the otterbox is worth it to have a smooth, haed shell case. I received my seidio case on Friday and immediately noticed the screen was slightly harder to open. I'm sure with time it will degrade even further.

Anybody else have a problem with this? I'm contemplating giving my cousin a case, but don't want to give him one that will eventually ruin his phone.

This is the way it is with almost all cases. The tabs on the back cover rub a little on the slider part of the phone and that's why its harder to slide open. I do not have a Seidio Innocase or the Otterbox so i cant speak for those but the 2 cases i have do the same thing although it doesn't bother me anymore because i don't use the physical keyboard.

If you are talking about on the back of the phone screen it is supposed to be kept on. If you are talking about on a case i have no idea.

yea, the seidio will scratch ur fone ... over 3 months use i have slight marks & a scratch on the platform area where the mic is located.

otterbox slides much smoother, as though the case is not there. i am using it now ...

yes, the one adhered to the back of the screen. i was looking at some images from otterbox's case on their web site, the back view with the slider extended i don't see that protective strip on the screen ...

Time to vent a little steam,

Been using my Seidio case on my Droid for ~2months, and just recently the case broke...in my pocket. I have never dropped the phone, and keep it in its own empty pocket.

The case half that goes on the screen side broke a tab off and now won't stay on. I looked it over and it appears this one is thinner than the rest, by defect?

Contacted Seidio and they want me to ship it back to them before they ship a replacement...after ordering it and having to wait weeks, I'm not really keen on running my phone case-less for that long. Plus spending the money to ship the case back?

Seems silly that for something of this cost, I need to spend real money on shipping just to get it replaced. This is my 2nd failure with Seidio (first was a power supply w/ my docking station). They shipped a replacement powersupply immediately....but won't do the same on the case.

I am thinking it is time to start looking at other case companies, but I want something that I can use in the Seidio dock since I already have money invested in their products.

Me = Unhappy Consumer

Paid premium for decent quality...and stuff fails...but I need to spend MORE money just to get it replaced with possibly the same due-to-fail product?

Weak.

My wife and I both got Seidio Innocase's for our Droids and we love them. We also go the screen protectors. My wife's screen protector got a scratch after only about a week. Is this normal wear and tear? Are they supposed to scratch that easily? If so, thats cool....I just hoped it would have last longer for the price. Thanks for your time.

Chris

Seidio says their screen protectors shouldn't be scratched easily but mine became scratched after like a day of being in my pocket.

I ordered a case + dock combo a couple months ago. I had an issue with the dock and sent it in. I wont bother folks with the details but I was HIGHLY impressed by your customer service. PM me if you want to know the gentlemen that helped me out. I recommend Seidio products every time I get the chance due to their quality, but now I also have my positive experience with the CS department to throw into the recommendation.

I had tab break on my case as well, seems to be quite frequent from what i read. I followed the advice of others on this forum who suggested i contact seidio about the problem. I got the same email as Brandon,(took about a week to get it) and I am a little frustrated I will have to send the case in and then go weeks without a case because of an issue several people have.

I guess i am glad i still have my body glove, maybe i should have stuck with that the whole time, the only issue i had with that was it was too big, it never broke.
