This is a Rom for the Droid 3. lol Soooo no, you'd have to talk to the Droid X Dev's about a ICS rom

I'm on CM9 at the moment but I can't get SU to recognize Titanium Backups request for root. does anyone know how I can get SU to recognize requests in CM9?

We have 4.0.3 before the galaxy nexus so thats an achievement! lol =]

Bad timing to flash ICS. Preview build 6 is BUGGY and should be noted in the OP.

If you want to try something, this might fix it.

1. Wipe data/cache factory reset
2. wipe /system
3. flash the previous build I posted above
4. boot the phone then reboot back into recovery
5. then flash the current build (preview 6) without wiping.

People that didn't wipe are claiming to have no root isssues. So you could try that, or just do steps 1-3 and then wipe/data cache before booting back into ICS, also flash the Gapps.

Sorry I'm scatter brained ATM if you need more help just ask and Ill assist.

LOL I give him credit for trying, who doesnt want ICS?

Reminds me of someone that had installed the HTC incredible version of CM7 from rom manager on the D3 and it somehow booted without a problem lol.

I know its still an early build but I'll give that method a shot! Other than that this is by far the best ROM out there. I will be keeping my eyes out for the next build!

So downloaded and flashed this today and i LOVE it! All I need is face unlock(camera), 3g, sticky alt and uppercase keys, b key, and for titanium back up to restore my steel droid apps onto ics! Great work looking forward to the next release dancedroid

edit: I also noticed the on screen keyboard comes up a lot when typing with the hard keyboard

Here is what Hash said over at XDA a few minutes ago.

If I did explicitly say it: This is a MESSY build that I uploaded this afternoon as I didn't know what my time would be like tonight/tomorrow to do cleanup etc. When I say messy, I mean very untested, with lots and lots of debug logs in the background for looking at radio issues. It's also a very newly merged 4.0.3 build which practically no other devices have at the moment, so there's bound to be issues from that as well.


1 of those issues currently relates to su/superuser issues with 4.0.3, I'll get those resolved before we go alpha.


I would always always recommend wiping if you have any app issues.


What can I say, I was excited. I've been banging away on 3G for the better part of a week and a half.

Yeah what you're seeing in this current build was an experiment to see if we could run the ICS native USB interface (and possibly host mode). It doesn't work as you can see from the FCs. :/

For users having root issues, the latest superuser version has been added to the OP. It has fixed the root issues in the current build (Build 6) as of 12/18.

This is absolutely excellent hashcode! I love the work you are doing.
Only things I would see fixed are these.

1. the b key and symbol/ shift key
2.scrolling wallpapers
3.ics music player
4. and camera

idk if his has been posted or not but for users having rotational problems go to preferences from the home screen and turn on auto rotate I urgent had a problem yet....updated market to 3.4.4 and my apps are downloading just fine and change Max events in build.prop the lag is hardly noticeable...great build my new daily driver
