If u disable safe mode u will return to what ever rom u had installed when u installed safe strap for example if u was running maverick before and u installed safe staple and flash ics then u will return to maverick

okay, so first off I am loving ICS! it is by far the best thing I have ever experienced on a mobile device! I have one question and I am wondering if it is just buried in settings somewhere and I just can't find it but the haptic feedback when typing or pressing the capacitive buttons I almost can't feel it, I'm wondering if there is a way to raise the sensitivity of this feature, any help would be most appreciated, thanks :biggrin:

I havent flashed to a new rom since droid 2. Is there full instructions anywhere to flash to ICS . And im i able to flash back to factory in case i need to return?

I am sure there is full instructions somewhere but its very sim please just download and install safe strap and down load the rom u want to install and and then boot into safe strap (restart phone hit menu when safe strap screen is up and enable safe mode and then go to install from sd card choose zip file and let it do its thing and and then hit reboot phone when finished installing and its ready to go and then if u want to go back to the rom u r on now just disable safe mode and it will restore all ur info. So basically its a duel boot just by enabling and disabling safe mode

Ok thx but once i root can it be returned to factory like it was never rooted. I have unrooted with droid one and 2 still in the dark with droid 3. THX for help

Ok, I know people are asking about how to use Safestrap but I haven't seen this question answered yet: Does wiping data and cache while in safe mode wipe data and cache from non-safe mode as well? Does it wipe data/cache of the entire phone no matter what? I'm trying to build up the courage to flash this ROM when a few more kinks (like the camera) are worked out.

You make a backup before wiping, so your backup should be ok.

thanks got it to go looks pretty good. couple of things are slow like deleting multiple pictures. And i dont see face unlock is that not in the rom? And resizing picture widget doesn work either. Im not complaining just letting developer know in case he didnt. Thx

Yes, as long as you are rooted and have safestrap intalled.

Make sure you follow the directions on page one of this forum. There is at least one gotcha.

face unlock can't work because teh camera doesn't work.
