[SELFKANG ICS AOSP ROM] CM9/ICS for Droid 3

So I guess the phones broke, I cant get it to turn on or the screen. Dont think I can SBF without a screen right? Flashed this over a fresh install and worked for a few days then out of the blue phone screen doesnt work and now whole phone is not working. Atleast I have insurance for it,might just get a newer phone.

razor ics leaked does this mean

Since that was leaked is it possible to use some of there code to fix some of our issues since they might use same hardware?

It might be possible to take some pieces and jury rig it to work for us, but the RAZR has a few differences so I guess we'll have to wait for Hash to look at it. Also it's a GSM leak, not sure if that will pose a hurdle.

OTA Leak

Does anyone know if the new builds are meant for 5.6.890 or if we need to do the leaked 5.7.894?
Alpha #5 seemed to be running fine on 5.6.890 but I saw a post on XDA about them being designed for 5.7.894

Edit: Nevermind, hash answered on twitter he always supports the latest release ota (5. 6.890 in this case)

Remember they also get a new kernel with the leak which the Droid 3 is lacking and stuck with the gingerbread kernel.

I'm not exactly sure what just happened, um everything was working fine and then everything force closed and then went into a continual bootloop, I did a battery pull and now everything seems to be back to normal, just curious as to what could be behind this

Flashed and it is running excellently. I did, however get a couple of FC's during initial setup, which concerned me a bit but it seemed to remedy itself. Overall it's awesome!

I'm coming from Alpha 5. When Hash says Wipe Recommended, is that a full wipe (data, cache, dalvik), or just a cache/dalvik wipe?

Usually when the developer says to wipe everything its a good idea. It never hurts and if you get titanium backup you shouldn't have to worry about losing anything. I will say this though when I installed it I did clear cache/data and dalvik. Then when I installed instead of getting the welcome to android setup screen I just got an updating android window. After a few seconds everything was back to the way I had it before the update. Only problem I got as a FC for phone.android but after a bit I tested the phone and everything seems to work.

Full Wipe. Hashcode is making changes throughout the entire system and something may not get updated/replaced properly if you don't do a full wipe. Especially on "alpha" Roms......too much is being changed, dropped, added, reverted during the testing phase (alpha) to get to a beta.

That's what I figured :) I've got it all up and running now. I have noticed some 3G issues over the Alpha 5. Have had to do some wifi or airplane toggling to get it to stick. Other than that, it is running beautifully and there are a lot more options starting to pop up from the CM9 side of things. Also, love having Talk back, was using Xabber and never really found it to be dependable.

Quote from hashcode's twitter:

D3 ICS Users: To stop Phone FCs remove "GlobalNWSwitch.apk" from /system/app or wait for a small upcoming patch later today.

Removing that works great. I rebooted and got my 3G right away without having to play toggle games.
