[ROM] [SELFKANG ICS AOSP ROM] CM9/ICS for Droid 4 -- [BETA 03/05/2012]

This morning I woke up, sent a text, then got a call (didn't answer it) and got a text back. When I tried to reply to the text, my physical keyboard seemed to be in some short of shortcut mode... When I pressed the letter 'E', it brought up my emails, kinda like how pressing the home could would show the launchers and ask for a default. I pressed 'B', and it brought up the stock browser. I turned swiftkey on and off, that didn't help. I have the regular Android keyboard frozen. A reboot fixed it. Anyone know how to enter and leave this 'shortcut' mode?

I dunno if anyone else has tried yet, but I just installed juice defender for the first time since 3/10 nightly. Its working beautifully so far. The data switching on and off killed it before but it recovers just fine now. GREAT WORK GUYS!

Sent from my XT894 using DroidForums

I have run into some more issues. on the 3/15 build (I am going to flash 3/16 soon) my battery when in percentage mode no longer is on 1% increments. now it only shows every ten. Also when I went to take a screen cap using drocap2 I get a "failed to execute drocap2" message right after the "drocap2 has been granted superuser permission" message.

However, the data and wifi now are beautifully stable. And if i do have any issues with the data i follow the work around (posted before this) of powering off ( NOT REBOOT!) then back on your phone and switching to GSM and back to LET/CDMA once and all is perfect.

Will update again after I flash 3/16.

* Tried using a new screen capture app and it worked. I used screenshot and it worked perfectly the first time.

** 3/16 battery status is back to 1% increments. (thank you) still slight data issues. it picks up 4g service however it doesn't get any data. When the service bar is grey you get no data. When it is blue you are able to use data. While the data was grey when I first booted after following the steps outlined above the data works perfectly.

1% battery was lost due to a bad merge of the CM9 files. It's back on the 3/16 build.

What the heck.....
Wifi still says authentication problems...any ideas?

Just going to have to wait for a fix.

The other option is changing your WiFi security if possible. I know that WEP is a bit more forgiving than WPA2. So depending on what you have your router set up for, you could possible switch and get it to sync.

I have a WPA2 system at home, and have no problems, but my router is brand new, and pretty high end. I always had an issue with my low end D-Link that I recently got rid of.

You have to have the admin capabilities. If it's your roommates router, you probably can't do that then.

This ain't workin out for me
If I made a nandroid back up on 3/13 and didn't erase the 3/13 rom zip, how do I safely abandon this 3/16 and go back to 3/13?

The 3/13 rom zip is not necessary to restore your backup.

Just boot to cwm
go to backup/restore
and restore your backup.

Reboot at the end.
