Should I get a nexus?

If I get the nexus from BB it would be free, and Verizon wants $150 with a $50 mail in rebate. The Verizon rep at the store told me that if I used BB, I would never be able to change anything on my new contract, like going from 2gb to 4gb, since it would be a breach of contract and they would charge me full charge for the phone? I haven't talked to BB about this, but has anyone else heard this?

Ummm...pretty sure that rep is wrong. I think he was just trying to get you to buy from him. Best Buy simply sells Verizon plans. The plan is no different and wouldn't show in the sytem as different if you purchased the phone from Best Buy.

+1 VZW rep is incorrect; as long as you are eligible for an upgrade you can purchase a new phone or plan with any authorized VZW wireless retailer. In this case BB is fine. And also remember that BB has restructured their business plan making the wireless market channel a top priority. Enjoy your Nexus; I'm getting mine today as well; couldn't tolerate my Bionic anymore. I would talk to a BB supervisor (not a worker drone) and verify what VZW has allowed them to offer you; just in case.

FYI, the VZW store reps are often misinformed or down right greedy trying to sway you in purchasing from their store. I always hated the VZW store mentality.......

I was a little skeptical about what the salesman was telling me too. To BB I go.

Yer good if it works properly. I still use the one from my Droid X! *edit, check under your battery stats to make sure it charges as AC and not USB. If it says USB, I just unplug it and then plug back in right away. That usually fixes it and goes back to AC. Other than that, no worries about damage.

One more question and I promise to shut up. I have the extended battery and its not lasting that long, is there a break in perioud , do i let it die completely and let it reecharge?

When I got mine it said on the box to charge it up with the phone off the first time. I did that and then treated it like normal from there on. Now I get killer battery life but also my phone is no where near stock!
